Late Backstage News & Notes From TNA Lockdown

Ryan Clark

TNA is expecting to break their attendance record with tonight’s Lockdown PPV in Lowell, MA at the Tsongas Arena. The arena is believed to be set up for 6,000 and should be sold out or close to it. They set an attendance record at last year’s Lockdown in St. Louis.

As noted earlier, the winner of tonight’s Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe match for the TNA World Title (which has some pretty high expectations) will defend next month against Scott Steiner either on TV or at the Sacrifice PPV on May 11. I expect Joe to win tonight.

To correct an earlier report, Karen Angle isn’t bringing a special guest to Lockdown. She is in Lowell and was at the Fanfest yesterday (TNA’s website has footage of Jeremy Borash interviewing her). She is expected to play some kind of role during the main event though unless plans change.
