Hardy’s New Home, Aspiring WWE Wrestler Dies, SD!, More

The Big Mosh of Monday Night Mayhem (MondayNightMayhem.com) sent this in: Former Buffalo Bills offensive lineman & aspiring WWE wrestler, Mitch Frerotte, collapsed & died suddenly this past Wednesday at home in Kittanning, PA, about 30 miles from Pittsburgh from a thickening of the heart muscle — a condition that can cause sudden death. He was 43 years old. He played for the Bills in 1987, then during their Super Bowl seasons of 1990-92. He played mostly as a reserve & on special teams. Mitch went on the record numerous times in past interviews stating his love for the wrestling business, and his desire to be a professional wrestler. Some of you may remember Vince McMahon announcing in the early days of Monday Night RAW after the Bills competed in Super Bowls XXVII & Super Bowl XXVIII against the Dallas Cowboys that Mitch Frerotte was headed to the WWE. For whatever reason or another, it never happened. Mitch was known for wearing his “Alice Cooper” black make-up/face paint during NFL games, which would run down his face by the time the game was over & done with.

Roy Sutherland sent this in: Smackdown main event was cut off due to Channel Problems on The Score. Right after the ring bell started it started to skip then it went black and even some other channels from Canada are out that I checked maybe also due to weather station problems.

George Schaffer sent this in: I just finished listening to an interview Jeff Hardy did on the Big O & Dukes Show on 106.7 WJFK in DC (promoting RAW at Verizon Center July 28th – station is giving away a ton of tickets). Interesting interview because he revealed something I haven’t heard before (if this isn’t news to Hardy fans, sorry) about his house burning down, how Matt got the call & Jeff was worried to death about his dog – was able to bury the dog a week later when corpse was found. Says he still thinks about it and gets a little down. He also says he plans to re-build the house on the same property. Later today, podcast of show will be on iTunes (show is ranked 46th in comedy section) and on WJFK website.
