J.R. On Raw Farewell, Jake Roberts Reviews Raw, Lesnar Update

* Jim Ross has a new blog up discussing a wide variety of things, including his recent “Farewell Address” this past Monday on Raw. The following is an excerpt from the article:

“I had a challenging time getting through the in ring promo as a million thoughts were running through my mind about my years on Raw, especially my OKC experiences, beginning my career in my home state, etc. I did not “write” any thing down to say nor did any one else if you are keeping score at home or simply just need to know that info. From what I understand neither did Edge. Certainly Raw was an unpredictable program which has been its trademark over the years which is essentially the reason it is live every week. The OKC crowd was hot and helped make this roller coaster ride of a program a really fun TV show to watch.”

You can read the blog in its entirety HERE.

* Jake Roberts has posted a Raw Review on his new My Space page that you can read HERE. Jake states that he will be doing these each week from now on.

* Brock Lesnar has a new interview out with the Minnesota Daily discussing his transition from professional wrestling to MMA. It seems as if Brock always finds subtle ways to put down the business now that he’s out of it and I don’t know about you, but it rubs me the wrong way. Here’s an excerpt:

“As a pro I had a job to do. I was getting paid very well to do what I was doing. In order to collect my next paycheck, I had to follow the rules and the script. It became very stale to me, and that’s why I was only in it for four and a half years. I missed the competitiveness. No matter how hard I tried to go out of the curtain every night and get it in my head that “I’m competing tonight,” I still realized it’s purely entertainment. The rush of being in front of the people and the camera just didn’t cut it for me. I could care less about that aspect.”

The only other wrestling-related thing coming out of this interview was him talking Kurt Angle having a similar amateur wrestling background and how there’s not any other high-profiled professional wrestlers (outside of Angle) that could probably make the jump to MMA. However, you can read the full interview HERE.
