The dark match between Vladamir Kozlov and Trevor Murdoch was the first match of the night. Trevor was booed until he sang and then was heavily cheered.
During the Mark Henry/Tommy Dreamer promo, neither got any real heat from the crowd. The 6-man tag got the loudest pop of the ECW taping with the crowd cheering huge for Hardy.
During the Atlas Ortiz/Armando Estrada match the crowd didn’t know who Atlas was and started chanting for Carlito.
The Mark Henry/Colin match was flat with a slight pop for Colin during his comeback but was quickly over.
*Smackdown* 7-4-08
The Michael Cole/J.R. promo was over huge with he crowd. Michael Cole was heavily booed during his promo.
MVP got a slight face pop tonight with his interview segment with HHH.
Vickie was booed so loudly that you could hardly hear anything she said. Edge didn’t show up until just before the Hawkins/Rider match. Edge beat up
on only Festus while Hawkins and Rider held Jesse. The crowd cheered heavily when Festus was helped up and made his way to the back.
The crowd was almost dead during the divas match.
After this match a video hyping Jeff Hardy was up next got a huge pop. Jeff got the huge pop during his entrance and for his win. Easily the best match singles match of the night.
The crowd was dead for the Umaga squash. During
the Fatal Four way Hardy was the most over even though Mr. Kennedy said he was finally home.
When Edge came out to break up with Vickie, the crowd was constantly booing him and a What chant almost broke out. I was behind the announce table holding up an Edge got punked sign and Edge kept looking directly at me during the promo. The crowd got a good laugh at Vickie while she was throwing her tantrum.
The dark match was announced as the Main Event and Triple H and Big Show were constantly making fun of both Mark Henry and Edge until Edge finally had enough and avoided Henry’s tag while the Big Show was in the ring. Match was over pretty quick and while Big Show and Mark Henry left Triple H worked the crowd. Overall it was a great show, but it wasn’t sold out and an upper section on the camera’s side was tarped over. The event wasn’t hyped as much as past events were so that affected attendance. Also the event security wasn’t very informed about the event and didn’t know the start time. Also they weren’t allowed in until five minutes before they opened the doors for the crowd at 5:50pm.
