An Update on Several WWE Stars Who Have Been Absent From TV

PWinsider.com is reporting that Kenny Dykstra was in fact backstage at this past Smackdown/ECW taping however was not used. Dykstra was sidelined with a knee injury back in January but has been cleared to return to action since the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania. WWE has not brought him back on the road and no word on if they plan to do so in the future.

Maria was also present at the Smackdown/ECW taping but was not used as WWE is teasing her debut with “coming soon” video packages that have been airing on Smackdown. Maria was drafted to Smackdown a month ago and has not appeared on TV in any capacity since then.

Candice Michelle and DH Smith were both backstage at The Great American Bash this past Sunday. Michelle is expected to return to the ring after Summerslam, while Smith’s return is unknown. It appears as if creative has nothing for him right now.

WWE’s Mobile service has an “After The Bell” video of Mike Knox arguing with Finlay backstage. On Tuesday’s edition of ECW, WWE aired a Mike Knox video package, so it looks like he’s in line for a push and a possible feud with Finlay. Knox has been without a significant program since the conclusion of his relationship angle with Kelly Kelly in December 2006.
