Wrestling Announcer Dies, Legend’s Son Wrestles First Main Event

Thanks to ProWrestling.net for the following: Charleston.net is reporting that Ricky Steamboat, Jr. is scheduled for his first main event match on an independent show in Mooresville, North Carolina on August 9th. The bit also mentions that he is being trained by George South, who people claim looks a lot like Mr. Florida – the wrestler Steamboat will be facing in the match.

Thanks to WrestleZone.com reader TnA4evr216 for the following: Wrestling annonuncer/weatherman Brian Teggland, 53, was found dead in his home Friday morning. Brian announced wrestling on Saturday morning wrestling in Memphis. He filled in often for Corey Macland and Jerry Lawler’s version of Memphis Wrestling over the past 5 years or so. He was also the daily weatherman on the same TV station.
