Last night’s edition of ECW saw the debut of “The All American American” Jack Swagger, otherwise known in FCW as Jake Hager. WWE originally signed Hager to a developmental deal as he is a legitimate All-American and a double athlete, having played defensive tackle in football and wrestled as an amateur at The University of Oklahoma. In 2006, he set a record of 30 pins in a single season of wrestling. He remains undefeated in developmental as he’s doing a winning streak gimmick, and as of August 2, 2008, was on a 62-0 win streak. If his theme song sounds familiar, which was driving me nuts during his entrance because I knew I had heard it somewhere before, it’s because Jamie Noble used the song during his run with Nidia. You can see the TitanTron featuring the theme music at this link.
