Norman Lear To Team With HBO On New Wrestling Series



Prowrestling.net along with The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that legendary television producer Norman Lear (“All in the Family,” “The Jeffersons,” “Good Times”) and HBO are teaming up for a new pro wrestling drama series set in the 1970s, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The show is written by Aaron Blitzstein, who held a VP of Marketing title in World Championship Wrestling.

“It was more of mom-and-pop type of feel back then,” said Blitzstein of his decision to have the show set in the 1970s. “And it was a little bit more ridiculous and fun.” The story notes that the show revolves around a family running a pro wrestling business in New York.
