Hello APW wrestling fans,
As we reported here on the APW website a few weeks ago, Dylan Drake was rushed to the local hospital in Hayward, California after suffering a severe neck injury at the hands of an Oliver John piledriver during the September 6th Gym Wars.
We reported Dylan Drake did have an MRI done on his neck and spine, and spent the rest of the weekend in the hospital. The âVoice of APWâ, Markus Mac over has done some investigative reporting over the past few weeks and found out a good deal of information regarding Dylan Drakeâs neck injury.
Markus Mac discovered that Dylan Drake did suffer a slight bulging of the disc between the 4th and 5th vertebrae in his neck. The bulging of the disc caused numbness in his left arm and hand. Markus also discovered that Dylan Drake was prescribed a rigorous regimen of physical therapy by his physician at one of the premier sports therapy facilities in his home town of San Francisco, California.
Markus reports that Dylan has made great progress with his physical therapy, learning to strengthen the muscles around the spinal cord. Along with his weight training, Dylan Drake has taken up classes in Yoga to help get space between the vertebrae. Upon learning that Dylan Drake was scheduled to see his physician this past Monday, Markus Mac caught up with Dylan as he walked out of the doctorâs office and tried to get a comment. The only thing this popular APW superstar had to say was âThank you to all the fans who e-mailed and wrote me letters. It really made me work twice has hard to beat this injury and hopefully to return to the ring and be able to perform in front of the best wrestling fans in the world. Again, thank youâ.
Markus tried to ask him about whether or not he has entered the âGauntlet To The Goldâ at APW GYM WARS this Saturday. Dylan declined to comment and walked away.
