The Sandman Update: Making Yet Another Indy Appearance

It appears as if The Sandman’s announcement that he is retiring means that it will be sometime before the year’s end. He has several dates he must work before he can actually quit, but the date I posted earlier and the following date should not imply that he is “out of retirement.” According to PWS, he still has intentions of retiring before the end of 2008:

After yesterday’s bombshell announcement that The Iron Sheik has been named the new Commissioner of Pro Wrestling Syndicate, the company would like to announce that PWS will be returning live to Yonkers, NY on Saturday night December 6 at The Yonkers PAL Building on 127 North Broadway in Yonkers, NY (20 min north of Manhattan, 30 min from NJ).

In addition to the appearance by Iron Sheik at this event, a Four Way Extreme Rules Match for The PWS Championship has just been confirmed.

It will be PWS Champion Devon Moore defending against top indy star Grim Reefer, and former ECW Heavyweight Champions Sandman and the returning Sabu! Any one of these four superstars can walk out of Yonkers with the PWS Title in what promises to be an extreme matchup where anything can and will happen. Commissioner Sheik has made it clear that he will not allow Reality Check to continue hijacking PWS events and has certainly stacked the odds against the Champion in this one! This will be Sabu’s return to the ring for the first time in nearly six months. The last time he was at a PWS event was at Firestorm I where he mutilated Necro Butcher in a few short minutes. Sabu remains undefeated in PWS. Legendary hardcore icon The Sandman also remains undefeated in PWS and has made it clear that he is looking to retire before the end of 2008, so do not miss your opportunity to witness this match live as you may not ever have another chance to see Sandman in the ring. Grim Reefer was close to capturing the PWS Title at PWS’ last event on September 26 but fell short in a 3 Way Ambulance Match (which included B-Boy + Devon Moore) after constant Reality Check interference. Anything goes, but only one of these four men will walk out of Firestorm II with the PWS Championship.

More matches to be announced in the coming days! It has already been confirmed that WWE Legend Kamala will be at the event as well as former WWE Diva Terri Runnels! Visit prowrestlingsyndicate.com for more info!
