NWA ANARCHY TV TAPING REPORT for 10-18-08 by LARRY GOODMAN

NWA Anarchy returned to the NWA Television Arena in Cornelia last night to put the finishing touches on Fright Night â08 including the announcement of this yearâs gore and carnage specialty match.

The âless is moreâ philosophy was in full effect with only six matches on the card. There were no ref bumps or low blows, one dive, and no foreign objects. The main event was in the ring before 10pm. I canât recall seeing an Anarchy show when thatâs happened. In any case, it was all good so far as getting the fan base ginned up Fright Night. And with attendance down to 125, it was mainly the hardcore fans that were on hand. No doubt a percentage of fans were saving up for the higher dollar major show ticket.

(1) Sucio & Kareem Abdul Jamar beat Anthony Henry & Chris Mayne in 9:09. The debuting Sucio (OVW) had an Energizer Bunny quality that made him the visual focus of the match. He reminded me of Sonjay Dutt with a head of hair like Fabio. Sucio did a flashy spinning headscissors and a forward rolling cradle. Henry snapped Jamarâs throat off the top rope to start the heat. The consensus in ringside South was that Mayne needs different gear. At one point, the heels were supposedly putting the boots to Jamar and appeared to be noly tapping him with their feet. Ugh. Sucio cleaned house, but Mayne nailed him with a tornado kick. Mayne then nailed his partner.when Jamar ducked. Jamar took Mayne out with an X Factor, and Sucio pinned Henry with a guillotine leg drop. An average opener. The finish was a bit clusterish.

Attorney/Agent Jeff G. Bailey unleashed the âThe Butcher of Pyongyangâ Kimo. He killed Henry and Mayne dead. The fans chanted for Kimo. Heel or not, they know a star when they see one.

Bailey cut another inspired promo. He’s on a roll. Bailey couldnât get Kimoâs new mask back in place for the promo, so Kimo had to go without, and that actually worked for the better. Bailey described Kimo in glowing terms â” a monster with utter indifference to human life that took his opponents to a place of everlasting torment. Bailey said Kimo had Ace Rockwell regurgitating blood within two minutes and had Slim J carried to back within three. Bailey said no opponent could last even 5 minutes with Kimo. Out came Ace Rockwell to a huge âAceâ chant. Rockwell said he wanted Kimo. Bailey called Rockwell a masochist.

Hollywood Brunettes (Kyle Matthews & Andrew Alexander) beat The Dynamic Duo (Chad Parham & Seth Delay) via DQ in 9:39. Talent & Money and Technicians came to ringside to observe what turned out to be a comedy of errors by Dynamic Duo in the opening minutes. Brunettes used a double suplex on Delay. Alexander went to the top. He fought off inteferency by âBoy Wonderâ Delay but got dumped to the floor by Parham. The Dynamic ones gave Alexander a beating. Talent and Money took some free shots at Alexander as well. While Matthews was cleaning house after the hot tag, an argument broke out between T & M and The Technicians. Matthews made like a human bowling ball with a tope into all four. Matthews had Delay pinned with a flying bodypress when he was attacked by Technicians and T & M. for the DQ.

Postmatch: The heels beat down Hollywood Brunettes, as the Dynamic Duos pulled up a couple of ringside seats to watch. Chip Day & Caleb Koney hit the ring and were beaten down as well. Wild Bunch made the save. A veritable army of referees came out to restore order.

(3) Wild Bunch (Billy Buck & Chris King) & Caleb Konley & Chip Day beat Talent & Money (JT Talent & Drew Pendleton III) & The Technicians (Bob E & Tyler Smith) in 8:40. Only on a pure setup show could they get away with a zero star power TV main event, but the match worked fine and had plenty of heat. Talent was getting his ass handed to him early on. Smith hit an illegal back suplex on King when ref Ken Wallace was looking the other way, and the heat was on. King was driven into the heel corner where he was whomped and stomped. The rudos worked over Kingâs back. Buck got the hot tag. The Techs and Talent bailed in fear of Buckâs bionic elbow leaving Pendleton to get caught with a Samoan Drop. Nice. A round robin of finishing moves ensued until Buck superkicked Pendleton for the 1-2-3. The Dynamic Duo left their ringside seats to return to the ring to join the attack. Hollywood Brunettes returned to clear the ring.

(4) Adrian Hawkins beat Bo Newsome in 7-8 minutes. Crowd was quiet early. I expected more reaction because of how over Bo has been. Hawkins was taunting Newsome during the heat. Newsome rattled off a series of near falls with a dropkick, a tornado DDT and a missile dropkick. Newsome has pinpoint accuracy with his dropkicks. The crowd got behind Newsome when he kicked out of Hawkinsâ Liger Bomb, which heâs been using as a finisher. Hawkins put Newsome away with a DDT from a shoulder mounted position.

Slim J appeared in close up on the WrestleVision. Having him up on the big screen was very effective. J said Hawkins had declared himself the Young Lionâs champ before the fact. J said it was about heart for sure. But it was also about one more thing – âWhuppinâ your ass!â

(5) Jeremy Vain & Rob Adonis beat Culture Shock (Lane Norris & âOutlawâ Ben Woods) in 12:02. Culture Shock is the new name for the team known as Tribal Nation in Showtime Allstar Wrestling. Basic black tights with chaps works so much better than the Indian gear. They got over great in their debut to weeks ago, and if anything, this match was even more impressive. Culture Shock had the crowd right from the opening bell. Outlaw and Adonis battled to stand off of high impact shoulder blocks and exchanged wicked chops. Vain started bumping like a demon. Outlaw gorilla-pressed Norris into a splash on Vain. Vain pulled the slap and run routine on Norris. Vain begged for mercy allowing Adonis to club Norris from behind. Ref Jacob Ashworth was Mr. Law and Order here, demanding a legal tag. Adonis used bigtime power moves to demolish Norrisâ back. Norris did a cool escape from a vertical suplex and made the hot tag. Outlaw cleaned house but paused to play to crowd, and Adonis hit him with his spinning suplex finisher. I need to find out what he calls it. The finish seemed to catch the fans by surprise. Easily the best match of the night so far.

Post-match: Vain put Norris out with the VKO. New Wave hit the ring. They were about to get revenge on Vain when Adonis pulled him to safety. New Wave checked on condition of their fellow babyfaces. As they exited, Culture Shock was more over with the fans than New Wave.

Brodie Chase, misogynist par excellence, and the reluctantly submissive Melissa Coates entered the ring. The fans, females in particular, brought the hat for Chase. He told Melissa that he made her what she was, gave her a glorious lifestyle and in return, she disrespected him and was letting Anarchy owner Jerry Palmer poison her brain. Chase said women donât know their place â” that place being to shut up and do as theyâre told. Palmer came out to address Melissa. He said she was a world class athlete, bodybuilder, fitness model, etc. âuntil you got with this.â Palmer said he was bringing Daffney in for a match against Coates at Fright Night, and he was going to be there to keep Chase from getting his filthy hands in it. Palmer urged Coates to turn her back on Chase and follow him out. Coates started to go. The fans were all for it. Chase whispered something in Melissaâs ear. Whatever it was, she looked upset and dutifully followed Chase up the ramp. Good stuff. Fans are connecting with this angle.

(6) Devilâs Rejects (Iceberg & Azrael & Shaun Tempers with The Reverend) beat Mikal Judas & Shadow Jackson & Truitt Fields in 15:47. Tempers came down the ramp, while the other Rejects made their traditional entrance from the back door. The babyface trio did individual entrances with Judas coming out last and getting the loudest pop. Hot match as expected. They opened with this awesome spot where Judas gave the Rejects a three-way headbutt. Tempers and Azrael went down like a ton of bricks, while Iceberg no sold the effects. The monsters squared off. Iceberg hit a Russian legsweep and went right for the Ground Zero, but nobody home. A Judas Mafia Kick connected and he followed with a flying kneedrop for a near fall. Jackson busted out the bionic elbows on Tempers. False heat on Fields. Iceberg treated him like a rag doll on a vertical suplex. Fields hit a reverse DDT on Azrael. Jackson tagged in. Iceberg incapacitated him with an avalanche splash and a cannonball splash. Rejects gave Jackson a protracted and hellish beating. Finally, the moment came â” the hot tag to Judas. He goozled Iceberg for the choke slam, but couldnât pull it off. With the match breaking down to wild six-way action, Fields hit the Killing Fields on Iceberg. But Tempers sneaked up on Fields with a small package for the pin.

Postmatch: As Tempers and Fields eyeballed each other, Azrael blindsided Fields with the Reverendâs staff to lay him out. Tempers departed. The other Rejects got in a massive pull apart with Jackson and Judas. This pull apart had some juice to it. Tons of wrestlers and officials needed to finally separate the combatants.

Bill Behrens came out and announced that the main event at Fright Night would be Judas & Jackson vs. Rejects in a âTrick or Treat Matchâ Bags would be placed in all four corners. Two bags would contain âtreatsâ â” weapons of Anarchyâs choosing. The other two bags would contain useless tricks. Jackson said in his sickness it would be anything goes â” blood for sure, maybe a flaming table. Jackson said he had just lost his mind, and it sure looked that way. A second pull apart brawl broke out. Jackson was bashing himself in the head when it was over. Fun stuff. Fright Night should be a lovely evening.

In addition to the above mentioned Trick or Treat Match, the complete Fright Night lineup is as follows: Fields (c) vs. Tempers for the NWA Anarchy TV title, New Wave (c) vs. Vain & Adonis for the NWA Anarchy tag titles, Rockwell vs. Kimo, Slim J vs. Hawkins for the Young Lionâs title, Coates (with Chase) vs. Daffney (with Palmer), and a Tag Team Turmoil to determine the number one contenders.

NOTES: Jeff Lewis missed the show due to injuries suffered in a car accident. Lewis suffered a gash in his leg that required more than 20 stitchesâ¦Culture Shock will return on 11/15â¦Kyle Matthews vs. Adrian Hawkins is one of the featured matches when Deep South Wrestling returns to action on 10/25 in McDonoughâ¦Ace Rockwell & Chip Day have a rematch against the Brits for the PTPW tag titles on 10/24 in Columbusâ¦Alternative Pro Wrestling has their big Halloween show, âNightmare on Cherry Streetâ on 10/24 in Royston, Ga at the Cherry Street Gym headlined by Jackson (c) vs. Vain for the Southern States Title and Delay (c) vs. Buck for the North Georgia Titleâ¦At their meeting on 10/14, the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission tabled voting on the new wrestling regulations until 11/18.

ANARCHY: (n.) an-ar-key (1) A state of lawlessness due to absence of authority. (2) A complete lack of order.

What happens when you mix the two together? NWA-Anarchy!

– Welcome to NWA Anarchy, this is PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING~! Last week on NWA Anarchy TV, the New Wave gained a third consecutive victory over the Devilâs Rejects en route to become the #1 contenders to the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles, Iceberg successfully defended the NWA Anarchy Heavyweight Title by literally squashing Ace Rockwell with the Ground Xero splash, and Sal Rinauro & Shadow Jackson made the subsequent save. This week, the Hollywood Brunettes have the unfortunate assignment of facing the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Champions the NWA Elite and NWA Anarchy TV Champion Truitt Fields defends his title, and Slim J faces off with Chip Day in a Young Lionâs division match with the loser drawing entry #1 in the upcoming Mega-Rumble to crown a new Young Lionâs champion.

1. âStraight to Betaâ Jeff Lewis pinned Bo âCanât Rapâ Newsome.

First off Jeff, if youâre going to humiliate your opponent: (a) make sure heâs incapacitated and (2) donât duck your head in you love flexing your smile. Alas, Newsome makes a rookie mistake by telegraphing a backdrop and Lewis takes over with a Russian legsweep. After commercial, Newsome mounts a comeback with a series of sidekicks, but splatters upon taking to the Unfriendly skies. Lewis Rolls the Credits for the pinfall victory. Afterwards, Lewis enjoys another spectacular victory. He proclaims, âNo matter which hick he faces, I will always be your Feature Presentation. This brings out âthe Big Dumb Smelly Redneckâ Don Matthews. Lewis dips, but âthe Stunt Doubleâ Jay Clinton ânailsâ Matthews from behind. One Fargo Strut later, Matthews decapitates Clinton. Lewis did a nice job of hiding Newsomeâs inexperience.

– Tonight, JT Talent plans on hitting the jackpot at the Grande River Casino to become #1 contenders to the tag champions, the NWA Elite. Talent predicts total victory over the New Wave. âThe Obsessionâ Kaleb Conley makes an appearance to form the Essentials, but he informs T&M that he wonât be able to second them because the promoter informed him of a TV title shot. Andrew Pendleton III concludes Conley needs to get his priorities straight.

2. â0% Body Fatâ Truitt Fields pinned âthe Obsessionâ Kaleb Conley to retain the NWA Anarchy TV Title.

Did you know that Fields spent five years in the third grade? Did you know the Big Foot replica found in the North Georgia Mountains was actually a backwoods hick bimbo sleeping in the back of a pickup? Only John Johnson could hypothesize such devious conspiracy theories. Conley takes over by luring Fields to the ring apron and snapping his neck on the top rope. After a short offensive by Conley, Fields counters him with an overhead release suplex. Fields mounts a comeback before Conley executes a one leg neckbreaker for a near fall. Conley hesitates and Fields puts him away with the Killing Fields. Afterwards, Talent & Money head out to antagonize Conleyâs loss. This was okay for a TV match.

3. âBrokebackâ Billy Buck defeated Bob E w/Tyler Smith via DQ.

Buck launches an outright assault against the Technicians and continues in ring with Bob E. Bob E takes over with a distraction from Smith and snapping Buckâs arm on the top rope. Bob E concentrates his attack on Buckâs elbow. After commercial, both men clothesline each other, but King further injures his bad elbow. Smith mounts the apron to distract Buck, but he nimbly eludes the charging Bob E. Buck rolls up Bob E for a near fall. Bob E fights nails the Sexecution for a near fall. Buck reverse whips Bob E into the ropes and Smith unknowingly trips up his teammate! What an idiot! Buck takes advantage with a superkick for a pinfall attempt. Tired of Smithâs antics, King chases him into the ring. Smith outright assaults Buck which prompts the referee to call for the bell. King fires back until Bob E spears him to Hades. The Technicians further attacks Buckâs elbow a la Chris King. Speaking of King, he makes the save with his arm in a slingshot. The Technicians quickly dispose of him by squarely punching his bad arm. Ouch. They deliver a second flapjack to Kingâs arm before applying an armbreaker. The referees head out to stop the assault, but to no avail. It looks like the Technicians have sent the Wild Bunch to the Broken Arm Butte.

4. âDew or Dieâ Chip Day pinned Slim J, so Slim J receives entry #1 in the Young Lions Mega-Rumble.

âCode Pinkâ Adrian Hawkins joins the Best d**n Announcing Team in Georgia to offer his unique perspectives regarding the Young Lions divisionâs competitors. After commercial, both men trade numerous near falls. Hawkins heads to ringside to observe the action and interferes by hopping on the apron. Jay Furyâs master plan comes to fruition when blasts Slim with the Enzifury. Completely oblivious to the outside attack, Day wins with a frogsplash. This was a subpar match considering the talent.

– Backstage, Chad Parham admires Seth Delayâs swimming cap. Delay admits that he is embarrassed because his head is shiny like a cue ball. Parham says he should put Seth Delay on his shower cap so they can makes Oodles of Noodles of money. Yeah, only Parham would devise a pyramid scheme like that. Parham reminds Rockwell that he is the only person who has something to worry about because they have long memories and short tempers. Delay wishes to use the knux and Parham obliges before wanting a shower cap!

– After commercial, we join the Hollywood Brunettes in mid-ring with the NWA Elite. Matthews hypothesizes that Bailey believes the Elite are unbeatable and unstoppable. Guess what? They are. The Brunettes are half the Eliteâs size, have half the experience, but yet the match isnât for the tag titles. The Brunettes acknowledge the fanâs respect for Bailey, but if he doesnât give up a title shot, then everyone will consider them beatable. (Good mike work until the laughable last line.) Bailey happily agrees to the ultimate destruction of the Hollywood Brunettes.

5. The NWA Elite (âWWE Boundâ Phil Shatter & âthe Butcher of Pyongyangâ Kimo w/Jeff G. Bailey defeated the Hollywood Brunettes (âthe Wizard of Aaaaaaaahsâ Andrew Alexander & â2 Hot for TVâ Kyle Matthews) to retain the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Titles.

The Brunettes hold Shatter at bay early on until he backs Matthews into the corner. After a methodical beatdown, Matthews finally eludes Shatter and tags in to Alexander. The Brunettes use chicanery to escape dualing double gorilla press slams and force the Elite to collide sending Kimo to the arena floor. Alexander seizes the opening by rolling up Shatter for a two counter. However, Shatter single-handedly escapes the Sheeney Curse and powerbombs Matthews straight to China for the victory.

OVERALL: Todayâs episode was more about building storylines than actual wrestling. The Technicians vs. the Wild Bunch is preparing for a nice mid-card feud, the Hollywood Brunettes garnered enough hope offense against the Elite to not look like jobbers, the potential break up of the Essentials, and a good brief moment between Don Matthews and Lewis. Having Slim J in the Young Lionâs division isnât the best thing, but the division needs credibility to kickoff and Slim is someone who is up to that task. I wasnât blown away by this weekâs episode, but it had some fun moments.

Desperate Measures 2

NWA East started off Desperate Measures 2 by inducting 2 NWA East legends into the Circle of Respect: “Big Time” Vince Kaplack and Big Poppa Gator. Buff Wilhelm joined NWA East in inducting them into our version of the Hall of Fame, but it was interrupted by Scottie Gash and his group of rogues James Ross, Shirley Doe, and Bobby Williams. As promised, they demanded their titles back, but instead, they were offered a compromise. If Gash, Ross, and Doe can win two matches in a best of three match series against three of PWX’s best, then they can take their title belts wherever they want, and NWA East president Jim Miller will retire from wrestling. But if the three PWX wrestlers can win, Gash, Ross, Doe, and Williams must sign non-compete clause contracts, forbidding them from wrestling anywhere but NWA East!

Devin Devine def. Blue Dragon

Devine picked up his first win in NWA East since his return to the company at the 14th Anniversary Show, thanks to some help from Stacy Hunter. Hunter was forced to be at ringside, thanks to Blue Dragon winning her in an indentured servant match. But with the referee’s back turned, Hunter delivered a low blow to Blue Dragon, allowing Devine to deliver his Memphis Piledriver for the win. But he wasn’t done there. He continued attacking Dragon, and was even joined in his attack by Dash Bennett & Bulldozer. Chris LeRusso came to his aid, but was taken in the ring by Dash, Dozer, & Devin for a beat down of his own. As Dragon was helped to the back, the giant Leviathon hit the ring to make the save, and we had a tag team match!

Chris LeRusso & Leviathon def. Dash Bennett & Bulldozer

LeRusso took the brunt of the match, with the “Dash Bennett Mafia” using their size advantage against the smaller LeRusso. Distractions from Devin Devine & Stacy Hunter at ringside didn’t help either. But as soon as he used his speed and quickness to make the tag, the giant Leviathon cleaned house. A big chokeslam from Leviathon later, and Bulldozer was pinned. For some reason, after the match, Dash, Devin, and Hunter left the ring without Bulldozer. Is there trouble in paradise for the DBM?

Channel Four Sports Anchor “JB” Jon Burton hit the ring, demanding mic time. He called out Ashton Amhurst, who attacked JB at the NWA East 14th Anniversary Show. Ashton appeared, with his tag team partner Patrick Hayes, bodyguard Big Dom, and manager Krystal Frost. Just when it seemed like the foursome was going to take out Burton, his good friend Sterling James Keenan came to ringside and took out Hayes! Amhurst said he fights his own battles, and he would expect JB to as well. As SJK backed off, Ashton went to swing at JB, only to get his punch reversed into a punch from Burton! Jon Burton shocked NWA East as he delivered a vertical suplex to the tag team champion Amhurst! The tag champs backed off as JB and SJK stood tall in the ring!

“Syko” Sean Dahmer vs. Apollyon went to a double count-out

The two members of the Straight Jacket Mafia felt it necessary to work out their differences. Somewhere in the world of SJM, wrestling each other in a hard-hitting contest is the best way to work them out. But while both men were battling it out on the floor, they seemed to forget about the in-ring count and got counted out at 10. But just as they did, they were attacked from behind by Jon Kronica & Robert Beverly, the Franchise Players. Iron Justice made the save, and a challenge was made for an 8-man tag team match at November 1st’s Dead Calm 2. Did their match work out SJM’s differences? We’ll find out on November 1st!

NWA East Three Rivers Champion James Ross def. Mantis and Bobby Shields

These three men threw everything they had at each other. Both Mantis & Shields realized it would only take one fall to end the match and bring the title back to NWA East, and didn’t bother wasting time trying to get it. Unfortunately, their opposition with each other was their downfall. Shields dropped Mantis with the Military Madulah Masher (or Triple M). But as he went for the pin, Ross snuck in, tossed Shields to the floor, and stole the win, keeping the NWA East Three Rivers Title with the rogues trying to leave NWA East.

Crusher Hansen requested mic time, and when he came to the ring, it was obvious why. Hobbling to ringside on a pair of crutches with his manager BC Steele, Crusher claimed he was badly injured in his match with Brandon K after K attacked his ankle, and that he was not wrestling, let alone defending the NWA National Title against K. This brought Brandon out to dispute that. K was able to trick Crusher into dropping his crutches and jumping after a dropped $5 bill on the mat, and the match was on for later that night!

The French Ticklers (Lord Zoltan & “Nasty” Nick Crane) def. The Franchise Players (Jon Kronica & Robert Beverly)

The Franchise Players were confident that Lord Zoltan could not find a tag team partner, and thus would dominate their match. But instead, Zoltan pulled out an old friend, “Nasty” Nick Crane, to reform their French Ticklers tag team! It was business as usual for Zoltan & Nick, using their years of experience to their advantage against the younger, more inexperienced team. When Kronica & Beverly thought they had things in hand by cheating to get the win, the referee caught them and restarted the match, allowing Zoltan to get a roll-up with his feet on the ropes to get the win! Will the Franchise Players catch a break and be able to earn a spot in NWA East?

After the match, Hayes & Amhurst hit the ring and took out Lord Zoltan with a baseball bat. Zoltan had to be carried to the back and immediately sought medical attention.

NWA East Tag Team Champions Ashton Amhurst & Patrick Hayes def. Iron Justice (Gregory Iron & Matthew Justice)

At the 14th Anniversary Show, Iron Justice were so close to winning the tag team titles from Hayes & Amhurst, but their fatigue from wrestling another match right before it cost them the titles. This time, they were fresh and ready. But when referee Tom Dunn was taken out by bodyguard Big Dom on the floor, Iron Justice took their eye off the ball. Another ref hit the ring and began to count the pin, but was dragged out of the ring by Krystal Frost. Iron Justice grabbed Frost and took her out with several double team finishing maneuvers, and even managed to pin Frost, and were awarded the tag team titles by the replacement referee! But when Dunn awoke, he restarted the match, informing Iron Justice they could not win the match by pinning Frost. As that happened, the champs snuck in and rolled up the challengers to get the win out of nowhere.

NWA National Heavyweight Champion Crusher Hansen def. Brandon K

After Hansen attempted to weasel his way out of the match earlier in the night, Brandon went after what Crusher claimed was a bad ankle. K attacked the ankle as much as he could, with the crowd screaming for Crusher to tap out. But as Brandon was being distracted by Benjamin C. Steele, Crusher slipped on a glove and locked the Iron Claw onto K. K refused to give up, but was put down with a Crusher Slam and pinned. Crusher continued his assault after the bell, tying Brandon to the ropes and assaulting him with an Iron Claw to the ribs.

Sterling James Keenan def. NWA East Heavyweight Champion Scottie Gash via DQ

Sterling was looking for retribution after losing his title at the 14th Anniversary Show, and he brought the fight to Gash. Unfortunately for him, Gash named his own personal referee, Bobby Williams, to the match (since NWA East no longer has a senior official). Every time SJK went for a pin, Williams would count slowly. Eventually, SJK got fed up and dropped Williams with an STO and locked in the Anaconda Vice. Shirley Doe hit the ring to take out SJK, but Brandon K made the save with NWA East President Jim Miller by his side. Doe issued a challenge to SJK and Brandon, the NWA North American Tag Team Champions for a title match right then and there!

NWA North American Tag Team Champions Sterling James Keenan & Brandon K def. Scottie Gash & Shirley Doe via DQ

While Gash & Doe seemed intent on winning the titles, in the end, the whole premise of the tag title match just seemed like a ploy. As SJK and K were ready to pick up the win, NWA East Three Rivers Champion James Ross hit the ring, attacking his father Jim Miller with the belt before rolling into the ring to hit SJK and K with the belt, leading to the DQ. With K and Sterling down, Gash and Doe held Miller up as Ross pounded away on his own father. The locker room emptied, in a show of solidarity from NWA East, as Ross, Doe, Gash, and Williams were chased off. With the entire NWA East locker room ready to defend themselves, will Ross, Doe, Gash, and Williams stand a chance?

NWA Southwest (NWA-SW) commissioner Ken Taylor proudly announces a new affiliate member joining the Texas territory system – Gulf Coast Wrestling Alliance – to also be known officially as NWA-SW / GCWA, and will be based out of Corpus Christi, and surrounding counties.

âWe are delighted to have as part of the NWA Southwest territory such a well established wrestling group as Gulf Coast Wrestling Alliance backed by such a strong wrestling family as the Galvans,â said Taylor.

âThe Galvans date back to being on our very first NWA Southwest show in 1998,â Taylor said. We have a deep history with them. We are fully committed to providing them all our support to become the wrestling focus of the Gulf Coast region, and weâre looking forward to them hosting State and even National title matches,â Taylor added.

NWA SOUTHWEST (NWA-SW) now in partnership with Shooting Star Radio (SSR) and SSR TV is rapidly creating the biggest “window to the world” about Texas professional wrestling and showcasing of the NWA brand.

NWA-SW commissioner Ken Taylor said all major “Texas Stars” are expected to be involved by the end of the year, and internet fans will be seeing the very best of “Texas Wrestling” through both SSR media outlet, and NWA-SW’s two web sites receiving over 2000 visits per day.

Taylor said future radio show guests to be invited before the end of the year will include World champion Adam Pearce, former World champ Brent Albright, North American champ Mike DiBiase, 8x Texas champ and former WCW & TNA star Kevin Northcutt, second generation stars Ben Galvan, Chaz Taylor and Cody Jones, lucha fav Cassandro The Exotic, NWA Executive Director Bob Trobich, and many more!

New Japan returned to the hallowed Sumo Hall in Tokyo today for another successful show, with a sell out of 9,000 fans (less than the usual âsell outâ due to a gigantic screen installed for the show). Shinsuke Nakamura has a history of losing to a big name, but then learning from the experience and avenging it in time. Mighty Mighty Muto Keiji is another story though, as the IWGP Heavyweight Champion – who ended what looked to be on course to be a defining IWGP reign for Nakamura in April – again warded off his young challenger. 28-year-old Nakamura, already a 2-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, again pushed Muto far in what was an exciting main event, but fell to something of a flash Frankensteiner, after Nakamura kicked out of the moonsault press that defeated him in April. Muto mentioned backstage that his old friend Shinya Hashimoto once lost to Genichiro Tenryu twice in a row, but gained experience from the trial, and bounced back a third time to

beat Tenryu. He seemed to be suggesting that perhaps Nakamura could do this, having come closer to beating Muto today, but only time will tell. Muto is going to take the belt to Taiwan now for All Japanâs trip there and try to raise the global worth of it. Nakamura said he will fight Muto as many times as he has to and its not only about winning the belt, but forcing a true change of generation and matching the very existence of the seemingly unmatchable Keiji Muto.

New Japan vs. ZERO1/ZERO1-MAX has raged on for a long time now. There have been victories and defeats, but generally New Japan has always had the edge – except for against one man. The three-in-a-row Fire Festival winner and almost Goldberg-esque ace of ZERO1 has been Masato Tanaka, and New Japan wrestlers have failed to knock him down, with Nakanishi, Makabe, and Kanemoto all losing singles matches to him. Today, Tanaka faced his first opponent from the very top level of New Japan, risking his World Heavyweight Title against the one and only Yuji Nagata. The last fort of ZERO1 was finally compromised as in what was described as an off-the-charts match saw Nagata smash Tanaka with repeated backdrops, until getting the three count with one. Large âNagataâ calls rang out after the match as the third generation leader, who so often has threatened to be overshadowed by the new generation only to fight back, lifted the second singles belt of his career.

Nagata, who recently beat Otani in a singles match too, declared ZERO1-MAX done and beaten after the match, leading to wrestlers from the company pouncing and a big brawl. No one from 01 remains untoppled now, but that wonât stop their roster from working hard to reclaim the companyâs leading title, much like New Japan wrestlers are working hard to win back the companyâs own title. Kohei Sato seems in line for a shot at the title, a man who could pose the biggest threat to Nagata from 01.

Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Takashi Iizuka has been the blood feud of 2008, stemming from Iizukaâs betrayal of Tenzan in April and subsequent nationwide war. Tenzan seemed close to liquidating the grudge in July when he won a Lumberjack Death Match, but it didnât slow down, and today they met again in a Chain Death Match on the biggest stage yet. As expected, this match had brawling, weapons, blood, and drama, with the fans very much behind Tenzan. Both men bled heavily and fought for their lives, with GBH interfering to help Tenzan, but Kojima getting involved to even the odds. The ever dangerous Iizuka trapped Tenzan in a sleeper hold with 20 minutes gone, adding a chain to the equation to choke him out. The fans chanted Tenzanâs name in encouragement, but referee Tiger Hattori perceived he was in great danger and stopped the match, giving Iizuka his biggest win of recent years! TenKoji, having failed to lift the AJPW World Tag Team Title the other day

and now with Tenzan having fallen to Iizuka, are suffering bumps in their revival, but Kojima swore they would be revitalized soon, and will first look to win the G1 Tag League. As for Tenzan vs. Iizuka, the war is likely go on, but with Lumberjack and Chain Death Matches having not ended the grudge, what match concept is going to manage itâ¦?

G1 Climax winner Hirooki Goto has suffered an unfortunate summer after his unlikely tournament win. Beating Makabe in the tournament final seemed step one to quick superstardom, but reality has set in, and big losses have followed. He failed narrowly to beat Muto and bring home the IWGP Heavyweight Title, then dropped his fall back to Makabe in an IWGP Tag Team Title shot with Nakamura. Today he faced New Japanâs strongest foreigner and the man who betrayed RISE recently, Giant Bernard. Goto put up another ferocious fight today, and indeed it took interference from Karl Anderson to give Bernard a win, as he dropped Goto with the Bernard bomb to hand RISEâs second-in-command another key loss. Goto was appalled by GBHâs constant interference, saying so backstage, but is now focusing on the G1 Tag League, where he and Nakamura will both want to retaliate from todayâs losses quickly.

Manabu Nakanishi and Yutaka Yoshie are back together and quickly taking names. They headlined the recent PREMIUM show and bested Shinjiro Otani and Daisuke Sekimoto in the main event, and today managed another big win over the all-star team of Chono and Tanahashi. Tanahashi has been lacking form and vigor since returning from injury, and todayâs pinfall loss to Nakanishi was the iceing on the cake. But now he is off to TNA in America indefinitely, where he has a chance to refresh himself, learn new things, and come back stronger than ever in time for the January 4th Tokyo Dome show. GBH recruit and IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion, Low Ki, continues to storm the junior division after upsetting Tiger Mask to lift wrestlingâs most prestigious junior title in Kobe recently. He today pinned the legend Liger in a six man tag, but was the victim of a surprise attack from former champion Taguchi after the match, eating a Dodon. Taguchi then officially

challenged Low Ki to a match for the belt, and expect that to take place some time soon.

NO LIMIT have been emerging little by little this year. Big matches, big losses, experience gained. And it all led to their biggest feat today, when they upset RISEâs Minoru & Devitt (what a great day for RISE!) to become the 22nd generation champions! Yujiro has always been the strong link of the team, his growth over recent years making him more of a threat little by little, and he dropped Minoru with an Intercollegiate slam for the three count! The young lions are very conscious that they recent failed to win the GHC Jr. Tag Team Title from Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Kotaro Suzuki and declared that after entering the G1 Tag League, they will look to re-invade NOAH and avenge their loss in a big 2-crown title vs. title match.

The first match ended with Tattoo Freak pinning NWA-SW/PWF newcomer Pepe Rodriguez.

Match two was a four-way including Mike Savage, Hotsauce, Joey “The Mastiff” Armstrong and Southern Pitbull. Hotsauce got the win.

Third match of the evening was preceded by “Showcase” Shance Williams apologizing to the fans for his lapse in judgment on Saturday, Oct. 11, when he used brass knuckles in the tag team match with Michael Faith against New West Texas Outlaws. Williams then went on to get the victory over “.50 Caliber Sex Pistol” Cody Jones.

The semi-main event was a six-man tag team match with two teams of three. Forming a nice slimy trio were BioHaxxxard, “Beautiful” Brice Payne and “The Natural” Shawn Mills. Their opponents for the evening were “Sexy” Shawn Sanders and the New West Texas Outlaws Matt Maverick and “Dirty” Dice Murdock. Sanders got the pin resulting in a win for the good guys!

The main event was round five in the best-of-seven series between Chuey Martinez, title holder, and “The Hooligan” Austin Riley for the NWA-SW/PWF Brass Knuckles strap. It was termed a “Lucky 13” match with the first to staple seven one dollar bills to his opponent being the winner. Fans supplied the bills and Riley clearly was fan favorite as Valet Chelsey was all over the place gathering cash for Riley’s use on Chuey. With bill number seven being stapled to Chuey’s tongue, Riley was declared the winner. The series now stands at Riley=3 and Chuey=2. Round six will be on Nov. 18.

The 2008 G1 Tag League opened before a sell out crowd today in Saitama with several shocks and some more routine results. RISE head honchos, Shinsuke Nakamura and Hirooki Goto, both suffered key losses days ago at Sumo Hall when they lost singles matches to Keiji Muto and Giant Bernard successively, but things are back on track for the young duo after they opened the tournament today with a win over Wataru Inoue & Koji Kanemoto. Nakamura, who has already put a re-challenge for Muto’s title back into view, sunk Kanemoto with the Landslide. TenKoji’s nightmare continued with another defeat as they were completely beaten by GBH’s villainous pair of Iizuka & Ishii. Tenzan was made to bleed again and for the second show in a row fell to his worst enemy Iizuka, a Jigoku Tsuki (“Hell Thrust”) keeping him down. Yano and Ishii paraded Kojima after the match, completing the humiliation of TenKoji whose revival is now going badly, and they must quickly rebound.

IWGP Tag Team Champions, Makabe & Yano, won as expected, beating Nagata & Hirasawa when Yano pinned Hirasawa, while new IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions, NO LIMIT, were brought back down to earth and given a wrestling lesson by their peers, Jado & Gedo, in the first match of the tournament. Tiger Mask missed today’s show due to injury and will miss some more dates before returning. The tour doesn’t resume for four more days, picking up in Kumamoto when TenKoji and NO LIMIT unite and go to war with RISE in a big eight man tag.
