CMT Announces Rob Van Dam’s Appearance on CCW

CMT has issued the following press release:

WRESTLING CHAMPION ROB VAN DAM LENDS HIS KILLER MOVES TO THE CAST OF âHULK HOGANâS CELEBRITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLINGâ

PREMIERING SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15 AT 8PM ET/PT ON CMT

LOS ANGELES â” November 10, 2008 â” Itâs week five and professional wrestler and WWE World Champion Rob Van Dam makes a guest appearance in the CCW training ring to help the contestants perfect their own âfinishing❠moves to take out their opponents and end the match. A two-time ECW Tag Team World Champion and a four-time WWE Hardcore Champion, he is just the right man to whip the final six celebrities into shape for their most dangerous match yet. On Saturday, November 15 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT on CMT, watch as Van Dam demonstrates his signature â5 Star Frog Splashâ, a move that has crushed many of his opponents and given him a reputation as the best âfinisher❠in the business by ending matches with this final blow. The CCW contestants must use their new moves against each other in a âBattle Royaleâ, which will mark their first time in the ring as six individuals rather than two teams.

As the contestants practice for their upcoming fight, one celebrityâs overconfident attitude gets the best of him and the rest of the crew watches helplessly as he is whisked away in an ambulance. With less than 24 hours until the first-ever CCW âBattle Royaleâ, the remaining five celebrities come to a realization that no matter what happens or who gets hurt the show always goes on. With four contestants already out of the running for the title of CCW Champion, tune in this week to see who will be the next âJabronie❠and sent packing in another shocking elimination.

Van Dam will coach the remaining six celebrity cast members — including former NBA champion Dennis Rodman, “Different Strokes” actor Todd Bridges, Super Heavyweight boxer ButterBean, reality TV star Trishelle Cannatella, “Saved by the Bell”s Dustin Diamond, actor, boxer and and reality TV star and radio host Danny Bonaduce â” who will continue to go head to head in the ring in their quest

to win the title âCelebrity All-Star Heavyweight Champion.❠Hulk Hogan, along with former World Championship Wrestling President Eric Bischoff and professional wrestling manager Jimmy Hart serve as judges and decide who gets eliminated each week.

HULK HOGANâS CELBRITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING is developed and executive produced by Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey of Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment as well as Hulk Hogan. Melanie Moreau and Bob Kusbit are executive producers for CMT.
