Cena Lawsuit Update, New WWE Music CD, House Show Note

After petitioning the court, WWE has been granted an extension until December 15th on a lawsuit brought against them and Raw Superstar John Cena by rap group M.O.P. for an illegal sample used in John Cena’s entrance theme. As reported earlier in the month, “The Time Is Now” contains two samples from M.O.P.’s song “Ante Up”.

WWE will be releasing “WWE: The Music Volume 9” on January 27, 2009. The following has been tabbed as the official track listing for the CD:

The WWE will be returning to the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY with a RAW house show on February 27, 2009. Also, a Smackdown house show originally scheduled on January 17, 2009 at the Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio, has been moved to the Civic Center in Charleston, South Carolina. No word on why the venue move was made.
