Raw House Show Results from Ft. Lauderdale: Fan/Orton Altercation

Thanks to reader Rob K. for sending in the following results from WWE’s 1-02-09 house show from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida:

Dolph Ziggler v.s. Kofi Kingston (w)

-good match, Dolph got good heat for someone who is still new to the brand.

World Tag Team Championship Match

Cryme Tyme v.s. John Morrison and The Miz (w)

-decent match, crowd didn’t seem to be that into it.

Intercontinental Championship Match

CM Punk v.s. William Regal w/ Layla (w)

-good match, crowd really into CM Punk.

ECW World Championship Match

Jack Swagger v.s. Matt Hardy (w)

-big pop for Hardy who carried the match, nothing great out of Swagger.

Santino Marella promo w/ Boogeyman coming out as an impromptu match, no referee however.

Women’s Championship Match

Melina v.s. Beth Phenoix (w)

-great match, Beth Phenoix is a lot hotter in person as is Melina.

Mike Knox & Kane v.s. Rey Mysterio & HBK

-Surprised as hell HBK made it out, but glad he did. Awesome match.

Main Event: World Heavyweight Championship Match

Randy Orton v.s. John Cena

-big pops for the both of them, great match. Randy Orton got into an altercation with a fan during the match, not sure if the fan swung at him or spit at him, but security took the fan away, caused a huge scene during the match because he was fighting off security, took about 5 or 6 cops to bring him out of the arena. Craziest thing I’ve ever seen cuz the guy was nuts over Orton. Who knew that middle-aged men could get so stupid for something that ain’t real?

Biggest Pops

1.John Cena

2. Randy Orton

3. HBK

4. Rey Mysterio

5. Matt Hardy

Biggest Heat

1. John Cena

2. Randy Orton

3. Mike Knox (except for an eleven year old in front of me who apparently has a crush on him or something)

4. William Regal

5. Dolph Ziggler

Top Matches

1. Cena v. Orton (ppv quality match)

2. Mike Knox/Kane v. Rey/HBK

3. Punk v. Regal

This is my first house show since I was 8 years old and Hulk Hogan was running it wild, and I’ll have to say, it was pretty awesome. A lot better than I was imagining it.
