Buddy Fuller had been the reigning Georgia Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Mario Galento on May 28, 1965, in Atlanta. It is unclear as to how Lars & Gene Anderson came to be recognized as Southern Tag Team Champions. The last reference we have shows the title being held up pending a review of a December 31, 1966, match between champions Enrique & Ramon Torres and the Andersons in Atlanta.

FEBRUARY 17, 1970 (TUESDAY) – MACON, GA – MACON CITY AUDITORIUM (Fred Ward – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Leon Ogle defeated Jack Vansky > Greg Peterson defeated Duke Savage > Paul DeMarco defeated Doug Gilbert > Southeastern Tag Team Title Match (DQ Rule Waived): Alberto & Ramon Torres defeated the Assassins* to win title / Notes: For the match with Alberto & Ramon Torres, the Assassins were required to wear different colored wrestling tights. The Assassins had been billed as Southeastern Tag Team Champions since January 27, 1970.

J.C. Dykes managed the Super Infernos, and announced to Capral that he had allowed Chati Yokuchi & Fuji to cancel their management contract.
