In New Orleans, where the next WWE PPV "Extreme Rules" will take place, there were ads playing today that announced Jeff Hardy defending the World title against Edge. The ads also included Hardy doing a short promo saying he plans to walk in as champion and out as champion.
WWE would not film this if it was not the plan at some point. The thing is, WWE changes plans constantly, and at the last minute, which means that result is not guaranteed for tonight. The fact the ad is already airing in certains places indicates the title change was scheduled for tonight, and not on SmackDown! which doesn’t air until Friday.
