WZ Exclusive: Creative Struggles, Original Punk/Hardy Plans

WWE writers are probably asking themselves when things are going to calm down around there.  The veterans are more than likely aware of the fact that it won’t be anytime soon, but the newbies are probably waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel a little prematurely.

We reported on the chaos that WWE’s creative team faces each year leading into WrestleMania, but the wind settles at various times following each event.  Sources tell us that all the writers can hope for this year is a little slow-down after SummerSlam because it doesn’t appear to be happening any earlier.

Vince is leaving most of them in the dark until very last minute and changing things regularly.

The latest is the CM Punk/Jeff Hardy match that is taking place at The Bash, rather than SummerSlam, where it was originally scheduled to take place.  Hardy has agreed to stay through SummerSlam – annually, a very big show in Vince’s eyes – and Vince wants to get everything he can out of Jeff in the main events.

Vince’s thought is that Hardy and Edge has been done to death, hence the Punk/Hardy combination at The Bash.  Now, however, the writers do not know what direction Vince wants to go in for SummerSlam.  One source told us: "The creative team is all stressed out because Vince keeps throwing curves and changes plans on a daily basis".

Although plenty are speculating Punk will be involved with Hardy and/or Edge at SummerSlam, Vince could always go in an entirely different direction before then.  And then change it back, of course.  However, I would assume that Hardy has to be there given his situation, unless they put him in a different high-profiled match with someone else outside of Punk.
