AIRING: Tonight On HDNet

Report By: Stuart Carapola

-Kenny Omega defeated Kenny King

King has Rhett Titus and a couple of local strippers in his corner.  Omega with a hammerlock to start, but King reverses into a series of armdrags.  Omega with a headscissors, King escapes, and they trade legscissors.  Austin Aries comes out to take the girls to the back in a subtle spot I’m not sure everyone noticed.  Omega sends King to the floor with a spinkick, but misses a baseball slide.  Titus and King try to double team Omega on the floor, but King accidentally nails Titus and Omega hits a big dive from the ring to the floor.  He needs to be careful with those dives, he sometimes gets a little too much air on them like in Montreal.  Back in the ring, Omega hits a big running elbow in the corner and a dropkick to the back of the head for 2.  King goes to the eyes and tries his somersault kick, but Omega blocks and hits a spinkick of his own.  Titus distracts Omega from the floor and allows King to nail Omega to take control.  Titus blatantly nailed Omega in front of the referee, who acted like he didn’t see anything.  This episode is going to need some editing.  Omega gets backdropped onto the top rope and King nails a big spinkick to draw a big pop.  Omega gets a great flying bodypress off the top rope, then ducks a clothesline and starts going to work on King.  Omega with a dropkick to the knee and a nice bulldog for 2.  These guys are amazing.  Omega with a martial arts kick and a Rude Awakening for 2.  Omega tries the STOP spot but King no sells it, hits the handstand kick, and runs over him with a big clothesline for 2.  Omega goes up top, but Titus grabs his ankle and allows King to hit a big spinkick and an F5 for 2.  The crowd is really hot for this match.  King with a torture rack but Omega reverses to a sunset flip, and King reverses that to a sunset flip of his own with the tights for 2.  Omega ducks another spinkick, does the STOP spot again, and this time it pays off with another spinkick for 2.  Titus interference backfires and Omega gets an inverted Frankensteiner and an electric chair into a German Suplex for the win.  Match of the night so far.  Titus attacks Omega after the bell and Erick Stevens makes the save.

-KENTA defeated Roderick Strong

Each man avoids some stiff chops and kicks from each other to start, but that doesn’t last long before they start tearing into each other.  This is going to be fun.  KENTA starts pounding away with forearms, Roderick goes for a sunset flip, but KENTA gets a stiff slap to Roderick’s face and then one of the stiffest kicks I’ve ever seen to the chest before going to a chinlock.  KENTA takes him to the corner and starts whaling away with kicks.  This is turning into criminal assault before my eyes.  Roderick counters a monkey flip by simply tossing KENTA across the ring and starts chopping awway like he’s trying to chop someone behind KENTA.  Roderick with a side backbreaker and a fallaway slam for 2.  Roderick with a waistlock, KENTA elbows out, but Roderick with a picture perfect dropkick to the face for 2.  Roderick with a mega stiff cross-corner whip and starts stomping away on KENTA in the corner.  KENTA eats boot on a pair of corner charges, but gets a powerslam and both men are down as the referee starts counting.  KENTA with a series of clotheslines off the ropes and a vertical suplex, followed up by a top rope clothesline for 2.  KENTA with an STF, but Roderick makes the ropes.  Roderick with a slingshot into a Falcon Arrow suplex for 2.  Roderick with a pair of corner clotheslines and a cradle backbreaker for 2.  KENTA comes back with more kicks and a springboard dropkick, followed up by a Yakuza Kick in the corner and then a leaping dropkick to Roderick, followed up by a sitout powerbomb, but all that only gets 2.  KENTA with a series of strikes followed by the running knee kick for 2, and he pulls down the knee guard.  KENTA goes for the Go To Sleep, Roderick escapes, KENTA goes for it again, Roderick escapes again and this time hits an enziguiri and puts KENTA up top, then hits a big superplex.  These guys are not going to be able to walk tomorrow.  Strong goes for the Stronghold, but KENTA makes the ropes.  Out on the apron, Roderick goes for the backbreaker on the apron, but KENTA escapes and a pair of stiff kicks sends Strong to the floor.  Strong with a really nasty backbreaker on the apron and the gutbuster followed by a running kick gets 2.  Strong goes for the Tiger Driver, but KENTA reverses to Go To Sleep for the win.  This was an amazing match and the new match of the night.  Both men got a standing ovation after the match.
