First Batch of Monday Night Raw WZ Reader Feedback

The following is from Scott

I thought the whole Trump buying Raw was stupid and pointless.  I knew Trump wasn’t going to be on Raw long but that was just stupid.

It took them 20 mins before they even had there first match, and for the most part I thought the matches were ok. I didn’t think it was anything that great but they were ok.

The HHH Randy Orton match was a bust. when they kept tring to sell the knee of HHH being hurt when he fell on his side I mean really come on they are better than that. Well one thing, at least they didn’t charge for it

I think I was one of the few people to enjoy the idea of Donald Trump taking over Raw. I was viewing something leading up to SummerSlam involving Trump Vs. Vince winner takes Raw, or even to spice up an Inter-Brand war having Vince take over SmackDown. However, Trump’s WWE Tenure was severely short lived. I’m not complaining tho. I thought last night that Donald Trump was very good in delivering his lines, he seemed prepared and carried himself very well, exspecially in his final segment on Raw. His pandering to the crowd and facial gestures in his interaction with Vince were really good. As far as the wrestling goes, this was a a fantastic show UNTIL the main event. Randy Orton and HHH really raised the bar in terms of Tv matches. Not many are going to top that. At the same time I honestly enjoyed the SmackDown 6-Man tag. I felt the teams worked well, and they limited Khali’s in ring time perfectly. Mysterio and Jericho are really putting the spotlight back on the IC Title and for once the belt looks as tho its starting to shine once more. Edge was placed perfectly in the match and keeps attention on him so as not to bury him during the Hardy/Punk Title bout. As for Hardy he constantly gives the same, that being an effort that wrestling fans love. Dolph Zigler taking the loss was to me a bit predictable in the sense that you don’t want to bury any of your top teir talent heading into a PPV. Moving to the tag team title picture. Am I the only wrestling fan glad to see the tag division getting a share of the spot light? I loved Primo and Carlito on the mic. The Colon’s are a perfect team to use to rebuild the Tag Division around, I would hope this current program with Legacy is drawn out until SummerSlam. Perhaps the WWE can finally get back a little to the days of the Head Shrinkers Vs. Steiner Brother’s and have tag matches people want to see again. I think the last time anyone cared about the division was when the Dudley’s, Hardy’s, and Edge and Christian had there programs. Building a few tag teams gives talent that your over abundant with a chance to be on the program. As for the back stage segments and promos John Cena and Miz continue to entertain me. Cena is Raw’s best talker hands down. The Vince segments were humorous and I think well placed on the show. I for one love Goldust, although I’d rather see him in the ring without "Horny". The firing of Santina was perfectly played. The gimmick was getting stale and ending it the way they did was perfect. The nights Main event was a total let down. Cena Vs. Big Show is a stale over paid feud that I am sick of seeing. Are we to really believe that a man like the Big Show can’t ever get a clean win against John Cena? Cena isn’t Superman, he can be beaten without help. On a scale of 1 to 10 this show is absolutely a solid 8, better then what you expect to see on TV. Hopefully thats a continuing trend

Going into RAW last night, I had three hopes. 1)RAW would be filled with great wrestling. 2)Trump owning RAW would progress 3)That a commercial free show would not lag. Sadly, RAW once again disappointed. There was no reason for SD stars to even be on the show as RAW’s superstars were hardly present. Where was Kofi, MVP, Matt Hardy, Regal, and The Brian Kendrick?Instead of having a 6 man tag of SD superstars those 5 + festus could have been in a 6 man tag. Also, I do believe there was a grand total of 5 matches(i might have missed 1). None of the matches impressed, especially the last two "Main Event" mtaches as both were very predictable. The storyline with Trump fell flat on its face before it even got started. Finally, while there may not have been commercials, that commercial time was instead spent on the following:

KFC grilled chicken comments

Transformers comments

Green Bay Packers comments

WWE press

Sounds like  a normal commercial line up to me. Overall, RAW once again comes in below average with a 4/10

I thought Raw this past Monday was Ok, I think it could have been better though

A Two Hour Show with No commercials and they only had 5 matches and one of them was a worthless Diva match that nobody wanted to see. I love Maryse but she was barely in the match anyway.

I loved the Mr. McMahon skits at he beginning those were classic with Santina, and then with Hornswoggle, Goldust and Festus those scenes were great.

The Miz/Cena promo was very well done and I love the Miz, he’s a great Heel and should be for a long time.

I thought the opening match could have been better if it was just a tag match with Mysterio & Hardy vs. Jericho & Edge, having The Giant Khali  in the match took away from the quality of it.

I wasn’t impressed the Primo/Cody Rhodes match either, I realize they had to have the match to promote the tag match at The Bash but overall I thought it was a Time Waster.

The Last Man Standing match was great, and very well done. My only question is why wasn’t this the main event? I don’t understand how you have this match in the middle of the broadcast and end it with the Big Show/Cena match??? Very strange booking if you ask me.

The McMahon/Trump segment was Ok but predictable and Trump isn’t very good on the mic or with his acting. His facial expressions are ridiculous

The Diva match was horrible and a Time Waster, that spot should have been reserved for somebody else. Like an ECW match……………

The Big Show/Cena match was good but we’ve seen it all before over and over again, it wasn’t the best choice to close the show. I did like that they had the Miz interfere at the end and cost Cena the match. I do like where they’re going with the Miz, making him a top Heel is a good choice.

Overall with the No commercials I thought they dropped the ball, with Donald Trump being on the show I imagine more viewers were tuning in and therefore I think the Writers should have and could have done more with the show, they need to make it “Must See T.V.” again and they’re not doing that.
