TNA Plaque Celebrates 7 Years, Few Originals Really Remain

BG James was there fairly early on becoming fulltime in Sept 2002

Amazing Red joined TNA in 2002 after tapings move to the Nashville Fairgrounds

Christopher Daniels joined TNA similar to Red, after the move to the Fairgrounds.

Shane Douglas joined TNA in June 2003, and made his most recent appearance on the June PPV but not on the TVs taped thereafter

So what’s my point?

Honestly I’m not sure there’s a huge point except that if joining as late as two years in qualifies to be pictured, likely others should have been included too…Tracy Brooks and Shark Boy are examples.  Who can forget Shark Boy and D-Ray 3003 or Shark Boy & New Jack in Nashville.  And Hernadez was with TNA in Nashville too as part of Jeff Jarrett’s Elite Guard.

If the intent was to show who was there at the very beginning then the picture is not accurate, and few wrestlers were there day one, and stayed with the company without interuption….in fact only three remain, AJ Styles, James Storm & Jeff Jarrett.  That’s it.

TNA is still a very young company yet the turn-over in the company since the beginning points our how fleeting jobs are in Professional Wrestling or Sports Entertainment.   So, everyone should enjoy the ride, save their money, and hope for the best.

Just ask Rudy Charles, a true TNA “Original” released after his 7 Year Anniversary with the company.

Welcome to the Jungle, baby!
