TNA Hirings & Firings, Rumors and Facts

As the dust starts to settle at TNA here’s what we know:

Jeff Jarrett is home with no specific timetable for a return, if he returns, citing "personal" reasons.  That is pretty much all anyone including office staff have been told.

Dutch Mantel & Savio Vega were released by TNA.  Both appear now to be working in Puerto Rico for IWA where Dutch was once a booker, and Savio was involved even when working for TNA.

Scott D’Amore will return to agent the Knockouts.  The decision was made by Dixie Carter.

Rumors of potential releases for BG James or Jim Cornette and well as the potential rehiring of (Pat Kenney) Simon Diamond are just that, only rumors.  BG James has been the road agent on most recent house shows.  Jim Cornette works as an agent primarily with the MEM matches.   I do not believe BG nor Jim are in jeapardy to be fired, and I’ve heard nothing to suggest that Pat Kenney will be rehired.  If TNA does look for more agents, I am aware that several wrestlers will push for Jerry Lynn to return.

Sting’s last PPV with TNA is likely Bound For Glory in October.   I’d bet that if this ends up as Stings last match with TNA he will do his best to go out with a strong match, something he can be proud of.   Expect the September PPV to set the plate for Sting’s Bound For Glory match.  My guess is it will also creatively bring the MEM angle that started with Sting saying that the younger wrestlers like Samoa Joe & AJ Styles had no "respect" full circle.
