NEW: WrestleZone exclusive on Roddy Piper appearing on the SummerSlam PPV!

We have posted the FINAL card for WWE SummerSlam 2009.

We reported earlier today that Jeff Hardy has allegedly tenured his resignation from WWE. Jeff Hardy leaving WWE is expected to take place following this Sunday’s PPV.

Kofi Kingston announced a few weeks ago that he was gearing up for SummerSlam by having new ring attire made for the event, but when Kofi failed to make it on the card, it appears as if he spoke to soon. Kofi Kingston not wrestling at SummerSlam was the recent topic of an interview conducted with the current US Champion. It is being reported, however, that although he’s not wrestling on the show, Kofi Kingston will appear at SummerSlam during its preshow.

Jim Ross recently spoke out in a blog regarding a SummerSlam surprise that he had in store for fans. Yesterday, in a new blog, JR talked about his current WWE status and commented on rumors that he might be considering leaving the company. Jim Ross’ SummerSlam surprise was also revealed in the blog.

In further Jim Ross news, the Smackdown announcer predicts – with what will probably be pretty strong accuracy – what the main event of SummerSlam this Sunday night will be.

Hollywood celebrities and WWE SummerSlam seem to be a closer match this year as we reported yesterday that actors Freddie Prinze Jr, Michael Clark Duncan, Nancy O’Dell from Access Hollywood and Lemme from Motorhead will all be in attendance for this Sunday night’s event.

In what could be some type of shake-up after SummerSlam, its being reported that several major Raw stars will appear at the Smackdown taping this coming Tuesday following SummerSlam.

In what could be a SummerSlam spoiler, Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Title is being advertised for a September 19th house show in Maine.

And finally, Comcast ON DEMAND is offering classic SummerSlam matches right now for $1.99.
