Very Detailed Off-Air Raw Notes: Batista Heat, HBK & More!

The Canadian National Anthem, "Oh, Canada" was then sung by Lillian.  Incredibly sung and fans cheered loudly when she was done.

Lillian then tells the fans to get ready to make some noise and hold up their signs as we are about to go live.  She then does a 10 second countdown and the fans cheer loudly.  I assume this is for the American audience as Canada does not get a look at the arena before the show.  I remember them doing this on Spike TV when I was in Winnipeg at the Raw that was shown a few years back.

A few minutes later Lilian tells us that we are about to go live again, and that the WWE wants to hear us and to see our signs so make some noise and hold our signs up high (Which we did).

I’m not going to go into details as to what happened durring each RAW match as that has already been done on the site.  Instead, I will go on about what wasn’t shown on camera and give you some feedback as to what the actual fan reaction was since that is hard to tell from watching the show on TV.

– When Batista made his announcement that he was retiring, the audience cheered and were generally happy to see him go.  A few boos, but not many.  To me it was quite obvious that this wasn’t going to be the case and I had already guessed that he was no longer injured so the whole removing the arm brace and attacking Orton came as no surprise.

Trish got a huge pop from her hometown fans. When she asked if Bob Barker did a good job, most of the fans booed.

Kofi Kingston got a good response from the crowd.  Primo was mostly booed.

After Miz took the title and once we went to commercial break, Kofi Kingston slowly got up and then ran down the ramp chasing after his missing title.
