Next year, former WWE and WCW Champion Bill Goldberg will be inducted into The National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame. Goldberg will be the first professional wrestler inducted into this particular Hall of Fame.

Thanks to Graham Cawthon for sending this in:

A near year is upon us and with it comes the return of one of the biggest names in wrestling. And, no, we’re not talking Hulk Hogan.

The Excellence of Execution

He is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. For 13 years, Bret Hart rose through the ranks of the WWF and went from a tag team specialist to a main event singles star. Now, after a dozen years, Bret is on his way back.

In an exclusive contest by The History of WWE, you can hear candid comments from a 2005 Q&A with the Hitman. What does he think of Shawn Michaels’ involvement in the Montreal Screwjob? What are his thoughts of Triple H, Ric Flair, and Vince McMahon? This Q&A was taped in Charlotte, NC the same day as Summer Slam and many fans ask about what / if any involvement was planned for him to be part of the Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels match that day in Washington DC as well as his yet to be released WWE DVD.

About The History of WWE

The History of WWE.com (http://www.thehistoryofwwe.com) was created in February 2002 with the intent of documenting in detail all the in-ring action of the WWE dating back to its inception in 1963. Over the years, the website has grown to include WCW and ECW results, thousands of newspaper clippings and promotional advertisements, match listings for WWE home videos and DVD releases, a thriving message board, title histories, audio interviews, columns, and reviews. As of July 2009, the site has expanded to also feature Jim Crockett Promotions results dating back to 1983.

The website has attracted praise from wrestling journalists ("An amazing and excellent resource that I use almost daily to double check facts." – Mike Johnson, PWInsider.com), book authors ("Invaluable" – Michael Krugman, Andre the Giant: A Legendary Life), and wrestlers themselves ("We love your site." – Jimmy "Boogie Woogie Man" Valiant).
