Update On WWE And AmeriCares Haiti Relief Efforts

In an update to WWE and AmeriCares relief efforts for the survivors of the earthquake in Haiti, AmeriCares’ second emergency airlift arrived on Jan. 28 in Cap Haitien, Haiti delivering $500,000 worht of critically needed medical assistance.

This is in addition to AmeriCares first airlift that arrived on Jan. 17 in Port au Prince, Haiti delivering over $6 million in supplies and medicine. AmeriCares has also delivered three shipments in aid totaling more than $2.1 million in aid to clinics and hospitlas in the Dominican Republican, more than $1.5 million in medicines and medical supplies to several volunteer medical teams through the AmeriCares Medical Out reach Program and a supplies of bottled water for two Port au Prince hospitals to help rovide patients and workers with safe drinking water.

AmeriCares has teamed up with World Wrestling Entertainment to encourage the WWE Universe to help support the relief effort in Haiti by donating to “AmeriCares Helps Haiti.”

WWE.com is posting updates of AmeriCares activities in Haiti along with information on how the WWE Universe can donate to support the cause. WWE also is running promotions within its popular television programming urging viewers to make donations to AmeriCares via text or online.

Donations can be made to AmeriCares online by going to www.americares.org or by texting the word “LIVE” to 25383 to donate $10.
