WWE Royal Rumble Opener:

We open with a nice historical video package. The announcers, Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker introduce us to the Royal Rumble.

ECW Title:

-Christian (c) vs. Ezekiel Jackson

Jackson out-powers Christian early. Jackson with a belly-to-belly slam. Christian bitch-slaps Big Zeke. Zeke ain’t happy and he’s chasing Christian around the ring. Christian catches Zeke coming back in the ring and regains control of the offense. Nice series of moves by Christian. Zeke hits a slam to slow Christian’s momentum. Zeke clotheslines Christian down hard. Christian attempts the Killswitch out of nowhere but Zeke fights his way out of it. Zeke throws Christian to the floor. William Regal is trying to interfere now but the referee catches him and bans him from ringside. Zeke works Christian over some more on the outside. Back in the ring, Christian catches Zeke with a springboard sunset flip out of nowhere. Jackson hits a two-handed chokeslam on Christian. Jackson has Christian in a camel clutch. Christian eventually fights his way out. Crowd is getting into things a bit more. Christian eventually hits the Killswitch and gets the pin to retain the ECW title.

Winner and STILL ECW Champion: Christian

Backstage: Insanity w/ Teddy Long, Tiffany, Cryme Tyme, Khali & Miz

Backstage, Teddy Long and Tiffany are hanging out. In comes Cryme Tyme asking for both to be added to the Rumble match. Only one member of the team is in right now. Long won’t do it. Cryme Tyme says they convinced someone to give them their spot. Great Khali comes in. Cryme Tyme says if Tiffany will kiss him, he’ll give Cryme Tyme his Rumble spot. She won’t do it. They do a bunch of singing and dancing. This is insanely bad. The Miz comes in and tells them all off. Teddy Long tells Miz he has to defend his U.S. title tonight against MVP. Miz isn’t happy. Miz is now both in the Rumble match and defending his U.S. title against MVP.
