More Extreme Rules Notes: Dark Match Result, Attendance

Thanks to Rob White for sending this in:

Prior to the Extreme Rules PPV last night, Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler in a dark match via pin fall.

It was announced that 12,278 fans attended the event.

It seemed to me that Rey Mysterio’s attacker was Joey Mercury, who was sporting a new look.

The crowd was hot all night except during the JTG vs Shad match. Nobody seemed to care much about the match and it seemed like a bathroom break bout for a lot of people.

Devon Platana sent this in:

I was reading about how some people think Mysterio’s attacker last night was Alex Riley, but I can bet that it is Joey Mercury. In fact, I have some kind of proof.

Here’s a video of a dark match from Smackdown recorded or the 20th: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuKQh-oPXkc

It’s Shelton vs Mercury and Joey Mercury is bald in the video. And the top of his head resembles that of the attacker.

Also, Joey left WWE a few years back due to being addicted to painkillers. WWE probably made him be apart of the Straightedge Society, saying that Punk saved him from his addiction so he shaved his head.
