Jim Ross On WWE Pushing Black Wrestlers, Regal’s Role

Matt Boone

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently answered some fan questions on his official website. Below are some excerpts:

On Vince McMahon pushing black wrestlers, notably – Kofi Kingston and R-Truth: “I am not a ‘color’ guy and the best athletes should get the most opportunities. I’m happy for any talent who gets a legit shot to be great no matter their color. For years and years the wrestling business held blacks and women down as I saw it first hand.”

On whether or not William Regal is underutilized: “It really doesn’t matter what I think but I like Regal and we heard what he can do promo wise Tuesday night. He’s a talented guy who can teach young guys in ring skills.”
