TNA House Show Results (6/3): Lincoln, Nebraska

TNA House Show Results (6/3) — Lincoln, NE

Report by Dale Miller & www.F4WOnline.com

TNA returned to Lincoln’s Pershing Center to kick off its weekend swing on Thursday. Approximately 900 fans attending. Those in the first three rows were allowed in an hour early to get autographs from most of the wrestlers on the card. The wrestlers came back out after the event to sign for the rest of the crowd. Don West was in five-star schilling mode throughout the night, hawking Jeff Hardy shirts and $150 signed Jeff Jarrett guitars.

Brian Kendrick def. Homicide. Kendrick got his knees up on Homicide’s frog splash attempt to win a back-and-forth match.

Knockouts champion Madison Rayne def. Angelina Love. Rayne won with a rollup while holding Love’s tights. The match was marred by the use of a local radio DJ as guest referee.

Global champion Rob Terry def. Desmond Wolfe. Wolfe bounced around playing ragdoll for Terry’s limited arsenal for much of the match, got some offense on Terry’s injured knee, then lost due to some sort of attempted chokeslam in which Terry got Wolfe two inches off the mat.

Jeff Jarrett, with arm in sling due to the “separated shoulder” he suffered due to Sting’s attack, come out to thank the fans for their support.

Tag champions Kevin Nash and Eric Young def. Generation Me. Yes, Nash did actually sell some for the Bucks. Generation Me thought they had Young pinned after some double teaming flipping, but they missed a blind tag, and one Nash big boot later it was over. The local bars mourned Hall not being there.

Samoa Joe def. Kazarian. Joe won with the musclebuster. He busted out all his usual moves, including diving onto Kazarian through the ropes. It’s amazing how over Joe still in despite how he’s been booked. Kazarian cut the usual “this town sucks” promo” before the match to remind the fans that he’s now a heel.

TNA champion Rob Van Dam def. A.J. Styles. RVD got the win with one of the those five-star frog splashes in which he somehow rotates in midair in a match that lasted just under 10 minutes. After, RVD took pictures in the ring with fans for $20 apiece.

TNA continues to do a great job providing entertaining live events no matter how badly it struggles to do TV right.
