WWE MSG House Show Results

It seemed as if it was all sold out.

First up was Kofi Kingston vs Drew McIntyre. The crowd was really hyped up with this one as one would assume with any curtain-jerker. Kofi hit the Trouble in Paradise to win it in about 10 min.

Matt Hardy came out after through the crowd and attacked Drew. Hardy came out again a second time, eventually being chased out by refs.

Second was SES against Christian and MVP. The crows seemed to love MVP as he got a bigger pop than the other men, Christian included. MVP scored the win in another estimated 10 minute match.

Kelly Kelly was introduced as the hostess of the night. Kelly asked some little kid where did Madison Square Garden took placem to get a chance to become the bell keeper of the match.

Next up was Kane vs Punk. Punk had a quick pre-match promo, getting some cheap heat, talking about how he is the best thing to happen to the city and that they should respect him. Kane got the pin in the match following a chokeslam. The match was very slow paced and a bit sloppy.

The Fatal Four way was next for the United States title. The Miz had a pre-match promo talking down the fans, mentioning the Knicks and LeBron James. The match start with the faces (Truth, Henry, and Bourne) cornering Miz. Eventually, with Henry on the outside,  Bourne hit the shooting star press on R-Truth, but was thrown out the ring with The Miz gaining the pinfall as a result. Massive heat for the Miz.

The last match up before the intermission was Big Show vs Jack Swagger for the World Heavyweight Title in a No DQ match. Loud pop for Show. A lot of funny moves used by show. Later on Kane interfere by chokeslaming Big Show, resulting in Swagger pinning Show. Afterwards, Kane hit the ring again and finished off Swagger with a chokeslam, standing tall as we went to intermission.

*Intermission*

The next match up was the Divas match, with Santino as the ref. The start was mostly comedy as Michelle and Layla jogging around the ring and stretching, until Nikki tripped them. Although the fans were massively booing most of the match, including some "this is stupid" and "this is boring"" chants, I honestly did not think it was that bad.  After about 6-7 minutes Eve scored the win pinning Maryse.

Up next was Edge vs Randy Orton. I was quite surprised with the ovation Edge got. Orton had the loudest ovation of the night before Cena came out. Pretty decent match, nothing out of the ordinary. Orton wins with the RKO. Despite recent reports, it did not seem that Orton was injured at all.

The final match of the night was John Cena vs Shaemus. The amount of reaction Cena gets is unbelievable. Whether it was negative or positive, this man gets a loud reaction. Good match worked between the two. Cena won after the Attitude Adjustment after around 15 minutes. It was the vocal reaction of the crowd that made this bout the match of the night. Afterwards Wade Barrett appeared to attack Cena eventually leading to all the NXT members joining in on the fun. Just like what occured on Raw Monday night, some WWE superstars (Edge, Orton, Bourne, Truth, Henry, and Kingston) came out to the aid of Cena. The finale turned into a small battle royal type event. Cena at the end thanked everyone fot coming and started talking about how important Madison Square Garden has been to the WWE. He says he’ll see us at Wrestlemania 30 as the show ends. Great ending that took us all by surprise.

As a funny side note, I overheard a security guard next to me say "only in wrestling would fans boo six beautiful women, God bless them." I truly think that it doesn’t matter which divas you have in WWE (and even if they signed TNA divas who can wrestle) they will always get the same type of reaction.
