Sherdog.com posted an article today regarding a potential MMA fight between former WWE superstars, Bobby Lashley and Batista. Lashley, 5-0 in his young MMA career, told Sherdog that while he isn’t against the idea of facing his former colleague, he is hesitant to take the fight. “It’s not really the direction I want to move (in), but if it’s worth it and they really think he’s ready and Strikeforce wants me to fight him, I’ll take the fight."
Batista, who recently departed WWE after an eight-year run, recently started training for a potential MMA career at the Cesar Gracia Academy in Lodi, California.
Lashley admitted that the match is something fans would undoubtedly want to see, but at this point in his career, he wants to continue moving forward. “I’m not disrespecting Dave at all, but he’s new to the game,” said Lashley. “That’s definitely a fight for the fans, but not so much for my career. I’d do it and keep moving forward.”
