Ross Report: All-Diva Show, SD! Live, NXT 3, Kaval’s Future

The following are some highlights from a new “Ross Report” by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

Would an all-Diva WWE TV show work? I’ve always wondered how a TV show devoted completely to WWE Divas would do. Nonetheless the 3rd season of NXT will feature all Divas, as I understand it. That should prove for some interesting TV over the next few weeks. It will be interesting to hear Cole and Mathews navigate us through these unchartered waters. Perhaps WWE honchos could retain the services of Paris Hilton to be the third member of the NXT announce team. I hear that she’s looking for work. She’d likely work for gum.

Will Friday Night Smackdown ever go LIVE like Monday Night Raw? It will on one night, Friday night October 1 from the Oklahoma City Ford Center, for the SD debut on Syfy. That event will be the most significant WWE event ever promoted in OKC without question.

Will Kaval be a long termer in WWE? He should as he’s paid ample dues and has a solid skill set inside the ring. He’s also a smart, ring wise vet. Too much is made of Kaval’s size, or lack thereof, and those that harp about a wrestler’s lack of size and who seem to always hang their hat on the size of the dog in the fight usually haven’t had their butts kicked by a smaller guy. Every time I see Kaval open his mouth I think that he’s going to say in his rich, baritone voice, “This is CNN.”

Who to watch for on NXT 3? Aksana is a beautiful, European Diva (Romanian?) who sounds like the former paramour of the bombastic Mel Gibson. For old timers, Aksana may sound like the Lisa Douglas character on the classic, TV sitcom ‘Green Acres.’ Which Gabor sister played Mrs. Douglas any way?
