Ross Report: Cole’s Announcing, Cena/Orton, Y2J’s Status

The following are highlights from the latest “Ross Report” by WWE Hall Of Fame announcer Jim Ross:

Who wins between John Cena and Randy Orton this Monday on Raw from Cincy? Could it be the first man to have a heaping bowl of Cincy’s own Skyline Chili? How about the man that gets an endorsement from the Bengals’ humble duo of T.O. and Ocho Cinco? It might be that both Cena and Orton are mere targets for Nexus. Wade Barrett has a great deal to gain if the uber popular Cena & WWE’s favorite “bad boy” Randall Orton becomes damaged goods.

“America’s Got Talent” but do Cole and Mathews? Absolutely. Their in-ring dancing was smart, sexy, and powerful Tuesday night on NXT but their commentary was one of the predicted highlights of my Tuesday night viewing. If my large backside had been “dancing” Tuesday night, I would have resembled a cow on ice … not pretty. (Just think Elaine’s classic dancing scene on Seinfeld, add a few pounds and a black hat and you get the picture.)

What’s up with Chris Jericho? It’s not been a good past few weeks inside the squared circle for the talented Canadian. He’s as unlucky on the mat as Snooki is with matrimonial planning. I see Y2J negotiating his way back into the most relevant of WWE pictures somehow, some way. Hey, Jericho could always ref the Six Pack Challenge at Night of Champions if he’s not back in the hunt. ‘Y2Ref.’ Nevermind.

What’s the “sleeper” match at the upcoming Night of Champions in Chicago’s AllState Arena? For my “Q,” it’s got to be the United States Title Bout between Miz and Daniel Bryan. Mike Mizanin is evolving into a bonafide star while the unassuming Daniel Bryan knows submissions from the Team Couture Camp and has the experience needed to win a title at a major WWE event. Both men will compete with a heightened sense of urgency.
