WWE’s latest film offering, "Legendary," starring John Cena, took in $135,000 in its opening weekend according to The Wrestling Observer. This number, while poor, should not be surprising, as the movie was only screened in 177 theatres nationwide. The feeling is that WWE hopes to make more money off the DVD sales of the film, as the company’s new trend is to speed its films into DVD production, focusing on a quicker DVD turn around than most movies have.
