Ross Report: Bragging Rights, Legends Roundtable, Edge

The following are some excerpts from the latest Ross Report by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

JR on Bragging Rights: Bragging Rights in Minneapolis on Sunday, October 24, is going against the Vikings vs. the Green Bay Packers, which is stiff competition. I’m going to be at the WWE event in the state formerly governed by Jesse Ventura, my former XFL and WCW broadcast partner along with being one of the most humble men I’ve ever known.

JR on Edge: Edge certainly had some cutting words for Cole Monday night on Raw in Wichita which had to contribute to Edge getting traded to Smackdown. From what I hear, both brands did well on the trade which hasn’t been made totally official as yet regarding who is going to Raw.

JR on Dusty Rhodes: WWE HOF’er Dusty Rhodes, who celebrates a birthday imminently, was also at the State Fair of Texas event sitting on the 50 yard line. I remember back in the day when Cowboy Bill Watts (OU) and Dick Murdoch (Texas) would attend the OU-Texas game together and more often than not when leaving the game, after an adult beverage or 20, got into a contest to see who could knock out the most obnoxious drunks from the opposing schools. These K.O.’s were of the one punch variety.

JR on new Legends Of Wrestling roundtable: The newest Legends Roundtable debuted today (Friday) on WWE Classics on Demand. The topic is ‘Wrestling Families’ and the show is hosted by Mean Gene Okerlund and the panel consists of ‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase, JJ Dillon, Sgt. Slaughter, and yours truly. We taped this show just a few hours before Sarge got ill and had to spend almost two weeks in a Connecticut hospital. It’s hard to do justice to all the great, wrestling families that have dotted the landscape of the business in just an hour or so. JJ is the only member of the presentation not in the WWE HOF for which I feel he is deserving.
