Foley On “They” Reveal, WWE Plugging His Book, Nash

The following are highlights from a recent interview with TNA’s Mick Foley:

Mick Foley on whether or not “They” lived up to the hype: “I think that remains to be seen in the upcoming weeks. I had thought “They” might be (Eric) Bischoff and (Hulk) Hogan. I didn’t know. I don’t like to know more than I need to, but the Jeff Hardy thing came out of nowhere for me, and the Jeff Jarrett being part of it was a cool surprise. I think it’s a definite threat to attract new viewers and to get people talking. I think it has the potential to live up to that hype.”

Foley on pay-per views: “I strongly wish that we could get back to doing like four a year. The landscape changed in I think ’92 when WWE started doing 12 instead of four or five and then WCW followed suit. I just think it would be great for character development and stories if they didn’t have to fly by so quickly. I just think it would be great if we could focus on those big ones like Bound For Glory and Lockdown, and make a big deal out of the pay-per-view.”

Foley on WWE plugging his book: “Man, I think everybody was… I don’t know what I did to get in Vince’s good graces, but that was very nice of them and very much appreciated. I don’t know how the book is doing yet. We don’t have any type of figures, but if it does well I’d say in large part is because of the interest they created in it.”

Foley on Nash’s claims that he’s done with TNA: “Well, I know his contract comes up. Kevin is a very smart guy and he’s also a very honest guy, especially when he’s drinking red wine at night (laughs) by some of the tweets he’s made. I hope Kevin stays. I have a feeling that no matter what happens, he’s going to land on his feet because, like I said, he’s a smart guy and a good business man and things are going to work out pretty good for him.”
