WWE RAW Results (11/29) – Who is the King Of The Ring?

Brie Bella comes to check on Daniel Bryan then so does Nikki, until they are interrupted by Alex Riley. He tells them to leave the nerd alone, and tells them to get to work. Miz is talking on Riley’s headset, and then Riley tells them he doesn’t need them anymore. He tells Bryan all of this could have been his if he listened to Miz, but now he has nothing. Bryan tells him he is doing alright and the Bellas agree as Riley says tonight is Mizfest 2010 and leaves.

Justin Roberts introduces the new WWE Champion, the Miz, and he makes his way out with Alex Riley as Cole makes himself look like an asshole. Miz says he cancelled his planned celebration because he didn’t need it, and he found something to sum it all up. He shows some pictures of the crowd reactions from last week, and says he made it to the top in spite of MTV, the fans, and guys in the locker room. He next brings up Randy Orton, and says he embarassed Orton last week, and Miz will be the longest reigning champion in history. He says if they remember anything from his speech, it’s that they will never amount to anything, and Miz is one in a billion, and he reached his goals.

He starts talking about Roddy Roddy Piper and how Piper said he had to make things happen, but Piper never did. He has Riley hold up a book about the WWE Championship history, and says Piper isn’t even in it. He names a few more people until Lawler interrupts him. Lawler says congratulations are in order, but he beat an injured guy and it doesn’t make him awesome in his book. Miz says it sounds like ramblings of a bitter old man, and Lawler never did what Miz did in one night. Cole asks him to stop and tells him to sit down and let Miz have his moment.

He goes to sit down but says Miz should call someone out who isn’t hurt, and Cole says to watch it because Miz could make an example out of him. Lawler says he has been there since 1993 and has never gotten a title shot, but Miz says it won’t happen. He says Lawler is a 40 year veteran and he never got anywhere, then we get a GM email. It says Miz will defend the WWE Championship against Lawler tonight, and in honor of the upcomign PPV, it will be a tables, ladders and chairs match!
