King of the Ring Quarterfinal

"Dashing" Cody Rhodes vs John Morrison

Cody gets after Morrison in the corner then gets caught with a drop toehold in the corner and tries retreating outside. Morrison goes right after him but Cody gets the best of him and whips him into the turnbuckle then hits a side Russian suplex for a two count. Morrison fights back with repeated right hands until the ref pulls him away, then hits a legdrop clothesline and almost gets rolled up but kicks out. Both try hitting a second rope springboard kick (Beautiful Disaster and Flying Chuck, respectively) but Cody misses and Morrison hits it, then hits a running knee to the head to win and advance.

Winner – John Morrison

King of the Ring Quarterfinal

Drew McIntyre vs Ezekiel Jackson

Zeke hits a few clotheslines for a two count, then Drew goes on the offensive and keeps Zeke off his feet until they fall out of the ring. Zeke fights with him at the bottom of the ramp and tries to get in before the ten count, but Drew holds his foot and they both get counted out. Zeke gets pissed off and beats on Drew some more after the bell.

Result – Double Countout
