Dark Match:

-R-Truth vs. Curt Hawkins

Match went about five minutes to open the show for the live crowd at the TD Garden in Boston, Mass. Finish came when R-Truth hit Hawkins with Heath Slater’s finisher for the clean pinfall victory.

Announcer Table

Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole, and Matt Striker are sitting ringside as the show begins with their headsets on. Edge is formally introduced for the opening match of the night. The announcers talk during the videos that are played from Friday night’s show. Vickie Guerrero appears at the top of the ramp and is mocking Edge due to the fact that she’s banned his infamous move (the spear) and that Dolph Ziggler will win the match and the title if he attempts to do the move. Vickie then introduces Dolph.

World Heavyweight Championship Match

Edge vs. Dolph Ziggler

Edge is announced as his music blares through the speakers in the arena and he begins to walk down the ramp towards the ring. Edge gets in the ring and watches from the ropes as Vickie Guerrero mocks Edge and reminds him if he uses his signature move (the spear) he will automatically lose the match and Ziggler will become champion. Vickie then announces Dolph who makes his way down to the ring as his music and pyro go off in the arena. Both men are standing in the center of the ring, the bell rings and the match begins. The match starts off quite slow, the crowd not very impressed. Edge makes his way outside of the ring with Ziggler in toe and the match begins to pick up. Lots of back and forth between both Ziggler and Edge. Edge gets back in the ring with Ziggler following. Ziggler quickly takes control of Edge and the crowd reacts a little. Edge is put in a headlock by Ziggler in the middle of the ring. Edge gets to the top rope to attempt a high flying move, as he makes his way through the air Ziggler counters with a cross body block directly into a pin attempt. The crowd begins to chant "lets go Ziggler!!". Edge tries to regain control of the match by applying a leg lock on Ziggler. Ziggler reaches for the ropes successfully to break the hold. Ziggler successfully hits a Fameasser for a near fall on Edge. Edge somehow regains momentum and retaliates with a boot to the head of Ziggler. Edge makes his way to the corner of the ring and sets up for a spear, but you see him stand up quickly, remembering the move isn’t allowed in the match. Ziggler applies a sleeper hold on Edge who counters with a DDT. Edge quickly goes for the cover, however Vickie interferes in and pulls the referee out of the ring, making him unable to count the pin. Ziggler charges Edge who side-steps him. Ziggler stops just in time to not hit Vickie. Vickie is standing on the ramp mocking Edge as Kelly Kelly comes running down the ramp and attacks Vickie from behind. Ziggler hits a Zig Zag on Edge for another near fall, Edge gets his shoulder up. Ziggler gets Edge into another sleeper hold. Edge is flailing around and swinging all over the place, accidentally hitting the referee in the process. Edge makes his way back to his feet and nails Ziggler with a spear. The referee begins to come to, so Edge lays flat on the mat next to Ziggler. Edge get the Unprettier on Ziggler and pins him for the three count.

Winner: Edge

After the Match

Vickie Guerrero gets back up after being attacked by Kelly Kelly. Vickie sees that Edge has won the match and begins to throw a temper tantrum at ringside. Vickie looks a mess with her fake eyelashes hanging off her face as she makes disgusting faces while pouting at the loss.

Backstage

A video is aired letting fans know there are only 63 days left until WrestleMania 27 followed by the Miz and Randy Orton video package leading up to tonight’s match.

WWE Championship Match

Randy Orton vs. The Miz (w/ Alex Riley)

Randy Orton makes his way to the ring first as his music sounds in the arena speakers and crowd semi gets to their feet, half the crowd applauding while the other half boo’d or were indifferent. Orton enters the ring and turns facing the ramp as The Miz’s theme music blares and he makes his way out to the ring accompanied by Alex Riley. Michael Cole is cheering at the announcers table as they enter the ring. The match is officially announced, the bell rings and the match begins. Miz comes out strong at the beginning of the match throwing blows at Orton. Orton blocks and counters several times throughout the first few minutes of the match. Miz builds more and more stamina and catches Orton with a big boot to the head. Miz makes his way to the top rope, before completing a high-flying manuver, Orton counters with a superplex for the near fall. Miz kicks out. Orton continues to dominate the match for a while hitting several of his signature moves on Miz. Miz keeps trying to get back to his feet and regain control of the match to no avail. Orton goes for a DDT off the ropes, Miz counters with a backdrop and Miz gets a near fall on Orton. The match makes it’s way to ringside and Miz takes advantage of the fact Orton is paying more attention to Riley. Orton tries to refocus his attention and the match moves back inside the ring. Orton gets a DDT off the ropes on Miz. Orton follows up with the Viper’s Pose. Nexus members Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty, Mason Ryan, and David Otunga come running out. Orton throws Riley over the ropes into the hands of the Nexus members and the referee. C.M. Punk jumps in the ring from the other side and hits the GTS on Orton. Miz goes for the cover as the referee makes his way back into the ring and makes the three count for the win.

Winner: The Miz

After the Match

Cole is celebrating at the announcers table like a silly cheerleader. A video for the Elimination Chamber is played on the big screen. The show is set to take place on Sunday, February 20th.

Ringside

Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole, and Matt Striker are having a conversation about the Rumble match to take place later tonight. One announcer mentions that Cody Rhodes is out of the match and questions whether he’ll be ready for the Elimination Chamber.

Backstage

Todd Grisham holds up a piece of paper that is stationary paper belonging to Cody Rhodes. Grisham begins to read the note from Rhodes which blames Rey Mysterio for his inability to compete in the upcoming Rumble match due to the fact he broke his nose. A video is shown of various fans sharing their picks for the Royal Rumble match winner.

Four Way Diva Championship Match

Natalya vs. Michelle McCool vs. Layla vs. Eve

Ring introductions begin to take place for the Divas match. LayCool enters the stage first and make their way down the ramp and into the ring as their music blares through the arena’s speakers. They play to the crowd as they stand in the center of the ring posing with not much response from the crowd. Natalya makes her way to the ring as well as her music plays and the crowd gives a little more attention to Natalya. The match is formally announced, just as the bell is about to ring the GM email sounds. Cole reads the email and says "on behalf of the General Manager, I will not allow both members of LayCool to hold the title. Therefore, the handicap match is off and Eve will be added to the match. Eve’s music sounds and she makes her way to the ring as the remaining three girls look a little confused but ready for the match to begin. The bell officially rings and the match begins. The match starts off with LayCool dominating and clearing the ring. They have staredown between one another. Natalya is able to get Even and Layla in a Sharpshooter. McCool hits Natalya with a kick, breaking it up. McCool accidentally hits Layla with another kick. She apologizes as Even hits a moonsault on Layla for the pin. The ref counts the pin 1, 2, 3… missing that McCool had rolled up Natalya for a pin as well. 

Winner: Eve

After the Match

Eve is in the center of the ring crying over her victory, however she seems to be the only one impressed or that cared for that matter as the arena almost hears the sound of crickets.

Backstage

Josh Mathews is interviewing Gail Kim and Daniel Bryan as The Bellas walk into the shot and hand both of them flowers. They apologize and state they make a wonderful couple. Things start to heat up and they are eventually pulled apart. Another Wrestlemania 27 video airs as the announces are talking about the Elimination Chamber at ringside. Cole is still stuck on The Miz as the Royal Rumble video is aired next.

Royal Rumble Match

C.M. Punk is the first to enter the ring. The second entrant is Daniel Bryan. The match is officially underway. A minute and a half into the match Jusin Gabriel is the 3rd entrant. Gabriel misses the 450 Splash on C.M. Punk and Daniel Bryan is able to suplex Gabriel over the top rope for the elimination. The 4th entrant is sent out, Zack Ryder. Daniel Bryan hip tosses Ryder over the top rope almost as soon as he enters the ring. The number 5 entrant is William Regel. The 6th entrant is Ted DiBiase. Maryse followed DiBiase to the ring, but then turns around a heads backstage after only a brief appearance. The number 7 entrant is John Morrison. The crowd roars for Morrison who enters the ring and begins attacking. Regal bumps Morrison off the ring apron, Morrison catches himself on the guardrail with his feet never touching the floor. Regal is the next to be eliminated. Morrison jumps from the rail onto the ring steps to kick Regal in the head and then enters the match once again. The number 8 entrant is Yoshi Tatsu. The number 9 entrant is Hasky Harris. The number 10 entrant is Chavo Guerrero. The number 11 entrant is Mark Henry. Henry is able to eliminate Chavo. Henry then eliminates Tatsu. The number 12 entrant is JTG. Out next as the number 13 entrant is Michael McGillicutty. McGillicutty eliminates JTG with a dropkick almost as soon as he enters the ring. Ted DiBiase is eliminated by Harris and McGillicutty with a double backdrop. Good team work. The number 14 entrant is David Otunga. Otunga comes into the ring swinging. Daniel Bryan is finally eliminated about 20 minutes into the match by C.M. Punk. Nexus then follows up with eliminating Masters. Then they all form together to take down Morrison who is eliminated over the top rope. The Nexus then eliminate Mark Henry. The number 16 entrant is Tyler Reks. The Nexus eliminate Reks almost as quickly as he entered into the bout. The number 17 entrant into the Royal Rumble is Vladimir Kozlov. Nexus continues to dominate the Rumble as C.M. Punk eliminates Kozlov. C.M. Punk then sits down in the center of the ring waiting for the time to expire for the next man to make his way to the ring. The 18th entrant is R-Truth. The Nexus begins to rough up Truth in the center of the ring. Punk gets Truth into a corner with a knee. Punk bulldogs Truth and then throws him over the top rope. The 19th entrant is The Great Khali. Khali puts a fear into Punk and the others. Khali is able to eliminate Husky Harris. The number 20 entran is Mason Ryan. Ryan makes his way down to the ring and as soon as he enters he begins to throw blows with The Great Khali. Khali is dominating the blows but he misses once and staggers giving Ryan the opportunity to duck and push Khali over the top rope.

Royal Rumble Match (continued)

Left off at Mason Ryan pushing The Great Khali over the top rope after exchanging blows. The number 21 entrant is Booker T. Booker makes his way to the ring to some soft music wearing his regular ring attire, with no sign of his "King Booker" persona. The crowd roared as Booker hits several signature moves on Nexus and the cheer for the Spinaroonie. Booker attempts to eliminate C.M. Punk, Ryan is able to cut him off. Ryan eliminates Booker T over a half hour into the Royal Rumble. The number 22 entrant is John Cena. The crowd roared once again. Cena is able to eliminate Ryan quickly, followed by a double clothesline on Otunga and McGillicutty. Cena and Punk are left as the only two entrants at the moment. The number 23 entrant is Hornswoggle. C.M. Punk kicks Hornswoggle and then goes back to attacking John Cena. Cena is fighting to counter as he is lifted onto Punk’s shoulders. Cena is able to reverse and dump Punk over the top. Cena goes over to Hornswoggle and helps him up in the ring. Number 24 entrant is Tyson Kidd. Hornswoggle performs a tilt-a-whirl head scissors on Tyson Kidd followed by an Attitude Adjustment. Kidd is then eliminated by Cena. The number 25 entrant is Heath Slater. Cena begins to rough up Slater. Cena gets Slater over the top rope for the elimination. Kofi Kingston is the number 26 entrant. The number 27 entrant is Jack Swagger. The announcers point out that the number twenty-seven entrant has won the majority of the Rumble matches. The number 28 entrant is King Sheamus. Hornswoggle goes after Sheamus as the other men are going at it on the mat. Sheamus is able to get Hornswoggle to the top rope, somehow Cena comes back to life from the mat and takes out Sheamus. The number 29 entrant is Rey Mysterio. Mysterio hits a 619 on Jack Swagger eliminating him. The number 30 entran is Wade Barrett. The number 31 entrant is Dolph Ziggler who quickly begins to attack Sheamus. Ziggler and Barrett teamed up on John Cena, Mysterio quickly came to his aid. The number 32 entran is Diesel. The number 33 entrant is Drew McIntyre who made a quick sly glance to Sheamus signifying they were unified. The number 34 entrant is Alex Riley who comes out to The Miz’s music. Miz accompanies Riley to ringside. The WWE Youth Movement kick the shit out of Nash. Barrett is able to eliminate Diesel. The number 35 entrant is Big Show. Big Show eliminates Dolph Ziggle at almost an hour into the Rumble. The number 36 entrant is Ezekiel Jackson. Show eliminates Drew McIntyre before Jackson even enters the ring. Big Zeke is able to eliminate Show however. The number 37 entran is Santino Marella. The announcers point out Cena is the longest entrant in the match with almost 30 minutes into the match. The number 38 entrant is Alberto Del Rio. The number 39 entrant is Randy Orton. Del Rio still hadn’t made his was into the ring by the time Orton’s music played. Orton charged down the ramp and began to attack Del Rio ringside. Orton rolled Del Rio inside the ring and hit the RKO. Orton eliminates Kingston and then Sheamus. The number 40 entran is Kane. Striker pointed out that Kane is approaching the record already set by Shawn Michaels for the most Rumble eliminations. Alex Riley seems to have disappeared. Kane eliminates Zeke.

Royal Rumble Match (still continued)

Kane is eliminated by Rey Mysterio. Barrett is able to eliminate Mysterio right after, leaving only four men in the ring. John Cena, Barrett, Randy Orton, and Del Rio. Alex Riley runs out, returning to the ring. Cena goes after him. The Miz runs out and knocks Cena over the top rope to eliminate him. The crowd still doesn’t seem to pressed for the Rumble, no real sense of happiness or concern as Cena is eliminated. Miz and Riley run backstage once again leaving Orton, Del Rio, and Barrett as the last three men remaining in the ring. Del Rio and Barrett quickly team up on Randy Orton. Randy is able to overpower them and gain momentum to eliminate Barrett. Del Rio eliminated Orton to win the match, however Santino emerges from underneath the ring. Santino hits The Cobra on Del Rio. Santino attempts to throw Del Rio over the top but he’s able to reverse it and eliminate Santino for the win.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

After the Match

Ricardo Rodriguez seems stunned and excited in his post-match announcement for Del Rio’s win. The announcers then questioned which title they thought Del Rio would challenge for at Wrestlemania 27. The pyro goes off around the Wrestlemania 27 sign as Del Rio is seen smiling proudly at it as the show ends and the WWE logo is displayed across the screen.
