Brock Lesnar Cashes In, Wins Universal Championship At WWE Extreme Rules

WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins and RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch have been engaged in respsctive rivalries with Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans. After the champions beat the challengers in singles matches at WWE Stomping Grounds, Evans and Corbin challenged them to a winner-take-all extreme rules mixed tag team match at Extreme Rules.

Evans and Lynch started the match and the champion dominated until Corbin tagged in. Rollins hit a blockbuster off the top rope. Corbin got a kendo stick and Rollins caught Evans when she tried to hit him with it. Lynch hit Evans with another kendo stick and Rollins hit Corbin with one, too. Lynch and Rollins hit simultaneous dives to the outside and Lynch dove off the apron onto Evans. Corbin hit Rollins with a chair when he tried to hit another dive. The challenger continued to hit Rollins with a chair. Corbin hit a DDT on Rollins on a chair for a near fall.

Rollins blasted Corbin with a superkick and Lynch tagged in. The RAW Women’s Champion repeatedly hit Evans with a chair and tossed Evans into the barricade. Lynch hit a bulldog onto a chair and tossed Evans onto some chairs, too. The Man got a near fall after she hit a diving leg drop onto a chair on top of Evans. Lynch dropkicked a chair into Corbin’s face and Rollins took him out of the ring. Evans nailed a moonsault for a near fall. Lynch countered the Women’s Right and planted Evans with a reverse DDT. Rollins set up two tables but Corbin tossed Rollins into the barricade.

Corbin slammed Rollins on the announce table and the challengers hit Rollins with kendo sticks at the same time. Evans and Corbin hit simultaneous chokeslams for near falls. Lynch and Rollins suplexed their opponents onto the steel ramp. Lynch hit a diving leg drop onto Evans through a table and Rollins nailed a diving splash onto Corbin through a table. Corvin countered the Curb Stomp but Lynch broke up the pin after a Deep Six. Corbin planted Lynch with the End of Days and Rollins bashed him with a kendo stick and a chair. Rollins hit him with three Curb Stomps for the win.

As soon as the bell rang, Brock Lesnar came to the ring to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Lesnar suplexed Rollins and officially cashed in the case. He dropped Rollins with an F5 to win the Universal Championship.
