John Cena Visits Virginia Child, Makes His Wish Come True

John Cena is known for his many charitable works, and his constant dedication to the Make A Wish Foundation is known. Earlier this week, Cena once again displayed this side, as the superstar visited the home of a child who’s message of staying strong had gone viral.

Diego Hernandez is a 12-year old who lives in Staunton, Virginia and has been diagnosed with a terminal medical condition known as craniosynostosis (via WHSV). After having multiple major surgeries in an effort to lengthen his life, Hernandez’s family was recently told that doctors could no longer operate on the child.

Despite the heartbreaking news, Hernandez said he was feeling “good,” and trying to stay tough like John Cena, his hero. Once news of the story went viral, not only did Hernandez’s family receive donations that totaled up upwards of $6,000, but Cena also heard the news, and decided to make his fan a visit.

According to WHSV, Cena sent an hour talking with Diego and even brought with him a ton of WWE gifts and party favors, many of which were signed. Among the toys were action figures, hats, wrist bands, and his own Universal Champion belt. According to Cena, the power of kindness was what brought them together. “Never underestimate the power of kindness,” Cena said. “He just has such a kind outlook on life and I think that’s amazing. And that power of kindness brought me here today to him.”
