WWE Fastlane: Shinsuke Nakamura & Rusev vs. The New Day

In the lone match on WWE Fastlane Kickoff, Woods and Nakamura begin the match and go back and forth. Woods hits a hurricanrana but Nakamura hits a stiff kick that swings the momentum in his favor. Woods gets double-teamed by his opponents for a few minutes. Nakamura grounds him down with a headlock.

During the match, a backstage segment shows the Miz and Shane McMahon talking with the Miz’s dad before their Tag Team Championship match later in the show.

Rusev takes Woods to the top rope but Woods counters and hits a missile dropkick. He’s finally able to tag Big E who hits Nakamura (now the legal man) with several belly-to-belly suplexes. Big E hits a splash before Nakamura counters a slam into a guillotine. Big E throws Nakamura across the ring but the big man gets hit with a nasty knee. Nakamura nails Big E with a flying knee strike for a near fall.

Rusev overpowers Woods’ athleticism with an impressive slam before he double-teams Woods with Nakamura. Big E gets the tag but Lana prevents the New Day from double-teaming Nakamura. Rusev blind sides Big E with a monster kick for a near fall.

Woods sends Rusev to the outside and tries to hit both his opponents with a senton but they counter. Rusev locks in the Accolade in the middle of the ring but drags himself closer to the ropes. Big E shows Nakamura into the timekeeper’s area and tags into the match. He and Woods hit the Up Up, Down Down on Rusev for the win.
