Daniel Bryan On Not Being At SD: ‘Above That Sort Of Masochism’

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan was not at SmackDown last night and the former champ in AJ Styles was quick to take “The American Dragon” to task for not showing up Tuesday evening, comparing him to some of the fair weather talent on the RAW brand.

Bryan went online this morning to give his reasoning for not being in attendance, using his new mindset of selectivity as a reason to “No!” show:

Wow, what a move. If done right, this will get the fans on the right side of the fence on who to cheer and who to boo. Bryan’s excuse is reasonable, but the heel undertone of not showing up lingers like the aftermath of a Lesnar F5. I’ve been adamant about not wanting to see Bryan in the bad guy role since he’s just so damn good as a babyface, but if we’re going to get one, we’re going to get a well-done villain with layers of intrigue.
