Earlier tonight tempers flared between Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles. This led to Shane McMahon making a WWE Championship match between the two competitors right before WWE Survivor Series this weekend, and the result led to major changes.
Daniel Bryan was able to upset AJ Styles (whose WWE Championship reign lasted over a year), and is now the new champion after hitting a low blow after the referee got knocked down by AJ Styles. It was an impressive, if dirty, victory, and it means that he will now main event WWE Survivor Series against Brock Lesnar.
