According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The WrestleMania 35 main event is still currently up in the air, as nothing is set in stone for the show just yet. While Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair was reportedly discussed, the Observer reports that Flair has been hurt by the current angle with Becky Lynch.

The Observer also reports that Roman Reigns does not currently have a set in stone WrestleMania path; but, that there is a direction for how the current Dean Ambrose angle will inevitably play out.

The following is excerpted directly from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

Right now, there is no WrestleMania main event locked in. Rousey vs. Charlotte was heavily talked about a few months back and it’s not impossible, but Charlotte has been hurt by how the Lynch angle has played out. But obviously in this world where the fan reactions don’t really matter, if that’s what Vince really wants, that’s what it’ll be. Reigns would be the main event if not Rousey and there’s no direction for him in stone. There is a direction for how the Ambrose story will eventually play out (I don’t know what it is, just know there is a destination they are heading for, Ambrose was going to turn heel before this past WrestleMania and feud with Rollins before he got hurt but that doesn’t mean that’s where this one is going) but on the other side, the stuff with Strowman, McIntyre and Ziggler is stuff Vince and the writers are coming up with weekly with no end game. We’re not even sure if the end of Raw was to set up Strowman vs. McIntyre now, or it’ll be one of those heels break up and the next week they’re back together things that they do. It was something put together for this show during the week to give people an ending to talk about without much in the way of where it goes, although they are very much into protecting McIntyre and want him to be one of the top singles guys

WrestleMania 35 is set to take place on April 7th, 2019 from East Rutherford, New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
