WWE Thinking About Launching NXT Germany Brand

According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), WWE officials are thinking about launching another regional brand. Similar to what WWE has done with their NXT UK brand, the company is looking to add a Germany-branded product to their slate. This is why the company is holding tryouts in Germany next month, and why WWE Performance Center coach Robbie Brookside was working with wXw.

The German wrestling promotion wXw has a working relationship with WWE and is the current home for stars such as WALTER, Ilja Dragunov, and Timothy Thatcher. It’s said they’ll act similar to how PROGRESS aids WWE with putting on NXT UK shows in England. WALTER has been very open about not wanting to move from Germany, so this could open up his ability for WWE if so, as the company has shown interest in him in the past.
