Austin Aries will apparently be taking a page out of the late Brian Pillman’s playbook as he will be portraying a ‘loose cannon’ type character in upcoming months.

SEScoops.com‘s Damon Martin is reporting Aries and Impact are working on the angle that would see Aries show up in other promotions, making it look like he did really ‘walk out’ on Impact after Bound For Glory. According to the report, Impact talent was not told about the finish to Sunday night’s main event, which saw Johnny Impact defeat Aries, and Aries got right up and cursed at Don Callis and flipped off the crowd as he left.

Austin Aries and Johnny had been involved in a personal feud in the days leading up to the pay-per-view, and ended up brawling at Abyss’ Hall Of Fame speech. It was noted that Impact was reportedly attempting to get media outlets such as TMZ to cover the story, and one source called this a move that was more familiar to the way the ‘old TNA regime’ would arrange.

As of now, the plan is for Aries to show up in other promotions before his eventual return as the ‘loose cannon’ character. Aries did not appear at either of Impact’s two TV tapings this week in New York City.
