On Being WCW World Champion & Part Of A True Hollywood Dynasty:

I’m David Arquette, WCW Champion. I know that might hurt inside for some of you; but, you can’t hate a champion. I personally think we’re all champions; but, I just happen to be the one in the record books. You know a lot of people say they’re from Hollywood; but, I’m actually from Hollywood. I’m not only from Hollywood. I’m from a Hollywood dynasty: The Arquette Family, so if any of you haters got a problem with me, I’ll see you in the ring.

On What It Means To Be Involved With Wrestling & Coming Full Circle:

To me, it’s been an honor to be a part of wrestling. As much as the sorta hatred I’ve gotten on the internet, it’s still – I’m in the record books and I was able to tour around with the belt and now make my return to wrestling as a way of coming full circle.

On The Heat That Came With Winning The WCW World Championship:

There was a lot of heat backstage. A lot of people were upset and understandably so. They’ve dedicated their life to it. They’ve been training as wrestlers and then touring and driving in cars for countless hours. A lot of them are also generationally involved with it. There’s a lot of pride and heritage that goes with it, so I understand them being upset; but, you know on the other side it was kind of a dream come true.

On Being Bullied Online:

When I first won the belt, there was no internet. There was no Twitter craziness. It’s just increasingly gotten more sorta venomous. The one thing about being bullied online is that you can’t take it personally. You really have to have thick skin as a wrestler, as an actor, just as a person, as a kid going to school even. The best advice would be not to take it personally. Believe in yourself. Just keep going. Do what you do.

On His Reaction To People Calling Wrestling Fake:

Wrestling’s not fake was a big line from Ready to Rumble. I sorta incorporated it into my thing because one of the things that makes me maddest about people typically that aren’t wrestling fans are that they’re like, ‘Oh, it’s fake.’ It’s not fake. Three broken ribs will teach you that; but, it’s also a ton of hard work and an incredibly skilled art form. People don’t refer to it as that; but, it absolutely is.

On Wrestling Getting The Short End Of The Stick In The Entertainment World:

Wrestling’s gotten the short end of the stick in the entertainment world although The Rock has sorta come out and shown some of the value in it. It’s sort of the ignorance in Hollywood, which I want to help shine a light on.
