Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Who’s Next and Who Cares?”

Kofi Kingston defeated Cesaro

wwe raw 2016

It was announced earlier in the night that The New Day would defend against Cesaro and Sheamus at WWE Hell in a Cell. This match tonight really focused on how bad the cooperation is between Cesaro and Sheamus and less about the actual in-ring action. Kofi would end up picking up the win, thanks to Cesaro being distracted by Sheamus on the outside. Sheamus bowled over Woods and Big E took out the Celtic Warrior. Kofi was able to roll him up for the win.

I think it is too soon to have these guys battle for the WWE Tag Team Championships. You are only getting them as a tag team for a few weeks before their match? I would like to see them battle other teams of importance first and then get put into this match. Giving them a month and a half (Survivor Series) to mesh and gel together would make it more believable that they could win the titles. I just do not see a way where they win, but they do have three weeks to make me a believer.

Bayley Picks Up A Win

Another night for Bayley and another win. Do you know how over she is? She can battle a glorified squash match and still have the crowd chant her name throughout. This is what happened tonight for the former NXT Champion. A win over Fields gives her a victory on her belt and just lets her be seen. They let Dana Brooke attack her after the match, which was simple and the best idea for Brooke. She will get so much heat and continue to be in a higher profiled match with Bayley than she normally would. I am good with that feud, but skeptical on them letting jobbers fight Bayley each week. She is way past that.

Lince Dorado and Sin Cara defeated Tony Nese and Drew Gulak

Cruiserweight action on RAW featured Sin Cara announcing that he is going to be a part of the Cruiserweight Division. Good addition and a solid tag team match tonight. Drew Gulak took most of the hits and most of the attacking from Dorado and Cara. Sin Cara held his end of the bargain, hitting a nice dive to the outside while Dorado hit a splash from the top rope on Gulak to pick up the win.

There was nothing too crazy or too noteworthy here. I think Tony Nese could be a big asset to this division, but having him lose and seemingly all of the Cruiserweights exchange wins and losses might not be the best idea in the world. You need to find your best assets and build a division around a few big names and then filter the rest below them.
