WZ Mailbag: Why Everyone Loves the John Cena Open Challenge, WWE’s Biggest Competition, Destroying Vehicles, Royal Rumble Streak Continuing?

josh isenbergI had a question that I don’t think has been answered before. There have been numerous instances over the course of WWE’s history that vehicles have been destroyed on various programs such as Raw, Smackdown, etc. Does the WWE rent a car from a Rental Car Agency and get the insurance to cover instances such as this? I’ve always been curious if that’s what the WWE does or if they pay for the damages to the car.

No, I wouldn’t think WWE would go through the hassle of all the problems with renting the car, let alone destroying a rent-a-car. I believe they get it straight from the dealership. I’m sure paying for the damages is the least of their problems for such a big company.

Why will WWE mention Indy Promotions such as Finn Balor’s time in the Indies, Daniel Bryan, Zayn, Owens, but they never mention TNA? Like Samoa Joe’s past, for example.

It comes down to what’s best for business. TNA is WWE’s biggest competition, no matter what the ratings say. Would you ever see Coke talking about Pepsi’s past? The Indies are not even comparable, so they go ahead and give them some well needed free endorsement.

So the Hardy Boyz will be in the Hall of Fame soon, right?

Not as soon as you may think. They have been apart of the TNA roster recently, so that is a big set back. I still see them returning to the WWE for a final non-wrestling run. Both can still wrestle so it doesn’t make sense to put them in just yet. They’ll be in the HOF in another 7-10 years, not earlier, but rest assured Hardy fans, they will be in the Hall soon.
